Russian Nuclear Weapon So Horrific They Named It ‘Satan’ [VIDEO]
Since the end of the Cold War, the world has slowly but steadily been moving toward nuclear disarmament. However, a frightening new announcement from the Russian military has the potential to end that trend altogether.
Russian president Vladimir Putin recently unveiled the “Satan II” nuclear warhead, an updated and deadlier version of the Soviet Union’s original “Satan” rocket, and the news has put the entire planet on high alert.
Despite the decades-long trend of nuclear disarmament, Russian president Vladimir Putin, who is known for his nationalist attitudes and militarily aggressive leadership, recently announced the “Satan II” nuclear missile.
The rocket is an updated version of the original “Satan” missile, which was developed by the Soviet Union. The new model could destroy an area the size of Texas and would make the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki look like popguns.
The international community has responded with alarm, and the doomsday clock — which measures the threat of human self-annihilation — has been moved one minute closer to midnight. Russia plans to have the nuke ready by 2018, but many hope a diplomatic agreement to halt its production can be reached before that happens.
