Unfortunately, there is one pro-Trump supporter who is looking at fines of at least $500 per day simply because she posted an expletive-filled signage that was anti-Biden in nature. If her liberal New Jersey state gets their way, she will have to pay big.
However, Andrea Dick is sticking to her guns. She said that the signage outside her Roselle Park home is simply an expression of her right to freedom of speech.
“I absolutely have a right to have them up there because of freedom of speech,” she said to local television station WABC-TV. One of her signs says “F**** Biden” and another sign has a similar message that reads, “F***** Biden, not my president.” Yet another sign shows former President Donald Trump with two middle fingers up. Neighbors are predictably upset because Dick’s home is near an elementary school and the students are exposed to these messages when they are walking to school. “This is terrible. I mean, there are kids that go by here. This is a family neighborhood and I guess the question is why?” one neighbor said to WABC.
Roselle Mayor Joseph Signorello III said that he had received several complaints about the sign from her neighbors. On the other hand, Dick said that she has heard from many people who support her, her signs, and right to freedom of speech, including from Yours Truly, the author of this piece.
Dick said that she has been told that she can no longer keep the signs posted and that she will face a $500 a day fine if she continues to refuse to remove the signs. The 55-year-old woman pleaded not guilty and she had the fines delayed by a judge in the Municipal Court until the case could be heard on July 8th.
“I will not give up. I don’t care what it costs me, I’m not giving up. I’m going to stand my ground,” she added.
Ms. Dick added that there were some individuals who were leaving nasty messages on her voicemail.
“It’s not very nice,” she added. “It’s very inappropriate.”
