SNL is doing some things to mock abortion that will make you totally furious! But it’s American liberalism, so what do you expect?
Last weekend’s installment of the Saturday Night Live featured a segment that was extremely strange and uncomfortable, to say the least. In a nutshell, they were talking about “clown abortions”, which is macabre humor even for this television show, which stopped getting funny after they got the least bit of competition from MAD TV.
Actress Cecily Strong played “Goober the Clown” and she described the act of getting a “clown abortion” when she was 22 years of age.
The bit was evidently taking aim at the Texas Heartbeat Act, which stipulates that an abortion cannot be performed unless the heartbeat of the infant cannot be detected by the doctor.
Did you know that one in three clowns will have an abortion in her lifetime?” the clown character asked.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. I realize that he was never on the show, but this was a far cry from when Jim Varney (better known as the actor from the Ernest movies) would actually show up to a children’s hospital IN CHARACTER to entertain the young cancer patients even though he was dying of cancer himself! Either way, that was a heck of a lot better than comedians spouting off liberal propaganda, that is for sure.
“I need you to laugh so hard, like the way I laughed when the doctor asked if I got pregnant on my way over to the clinic because I wasn’t very far along,” she adds. “Not like a funny-haha joke, but like, in a funny, you’re not an awful person and your life isn’t over joke. A-honka honka!”
And just when you thought that this skit couldn’t devolve any further, it went on to discuss how these female clowns will often sit around and discuss their abortions.
“The last thing anyone wants is a bunch of dead clowns in an alley,” she concluded.
Oh brother. The days of Chevy Chase, Phil Hartman, and even Will Farrell are long-gone from this tired old far-left sitcom.
