Unfortunately, the COVID hysteria continues all over the world. There was an elderly gentleman in Queensland, Australia who was strolling in the Brisbane Botanical Gardens, and he eventually was arrested for not wearing a mask even though he had an exemption. Well, apparently, he couldn’t handle the stress of being detained, so he ended up having a seizure and going into cardiac arrest. Australia is taking steps to limit a new wave of coronavirus cases from occurring. However, that doesn’t give them any excuse to get so cutthroat with someone who not only had a medical condition but had a mask exemption to boot!
Indeed, there have been several conservative media outlets that have reported the tough approach that Australia is taking as they brace for another round of the COVID-19 pandemic. You not only run the risk of getting arrested, but you could be subject to the Army detaining you in Sydney if you fail to abide by the stay-at-home orders.
This is because residents continue to be told that they have to mask up if they leave their home and they have to carry identification at all times if they leave. Australian law enforcement are also being very vigilant about verifying if everyone has stayed within the boundaries when they have left their home as well.
The older gentleman and his female companion were strolling through the Brisbane Botanical Gardens and then he was confronted by the policemen for the egregious crime of not wearing his mask. The female that he was with informed the officers that he had a mask exemption, but these Australian police still arrested the man anyway, completely cuffing him even though he was totally non-combative. They ultimately caught the initial confrontation and the arrest on video along with the subsequent seizure that it caused. The officers kept fumbling around in the senior citizen’s backpack for his medication, and that didn’t help matters at all.
“I’ve lost faith in humanity,” one individual posted on Twitter. “There was an elderly gentleman in Queensland who was arrested for not wearing a mask, even though he has a mask exception. This man was walking in Brisbane Botanical Gardens, and due to the arrest the gentleman suffered a seizure and went into cardiac arrest.”
If this had been the only disgraceful arrest that had happened in Australia due to COVID it would be bad enough, but there was even a man arrested in a separate incident who was merely doing yoga at the park! Remember folks, these police officers were “just following orders.” While that’s all well and good, don’t forget for a minute that this is how Nazi Germany started as well.
