Thomas Boden is a pedophile of the worst kind (not that there is any good kind of pedophile). Back in January, the Texas man raped his
girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter and left her lying in a pool of her own blood, after being left alone with the toddler and her 4-year-old sister.
Afterwards, in a drunken rage, Boden attempted to wreck his girlfriend’s vehicle, which prompted her to call 911. But when police arrived at the scene, they discovered that a much more horrific ordeal had taken place than a carjacking or drunk driving incident.
When Brittany Lynn Rosser found her 2-year-old daughter, the toddler immediately began screaming, “My butt! My butt!” in an attempt to alert her mother to the trauma she had just sustained.
“So I laid her down and opened her diaper to find an enormous amount of blood and a clear vaginal tear,” said Rosser.
But the 2-year-old was not the only one who had been through hell, as her 4-year-old sister had witnessed the entire excruciating rape. “She told me Tom held (my daughter) down on the floor holding a shirt over her face while she was screaming and ‘cut’ her private area with his hands,” explained Rosser.
Not only did the 4-year-old corroborate that her sister had been brutally raped, hospital workers confirmed that the toddler had been sexually assaulted. To add to the mounting evidence against Boden, one of his victim’s diapers, which was soaked with blood, contained his DNA. It was found near a pile of beer cans in Rosser’s home.
Boden deserves to die for what he did to that poor, innocent little girl. But perhaps a more fitting punishment would be life in prison, where day after day his fellow inmates would surely exact the same torture on him that he put his victim through. Unfortunately, the pedophile has received neither of those punishments.
According to the Inquisitr, Boden was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, but accepted an unbelievably light plea deal. He will serve no prison time at all, instead getting 10 years probation. He won’t even have to register as a sex offender.
Prosecutors claimed this was the best they could do, given that the witnesses to the crime were so young.
“The possibility of one or both of these children being unable to testify was extremely high, if not a certainty,” claimed Assistant District Attorney Jason Ferguson. “If that were to happen, we faced the very real possibility that the Defendant would be found Not Guilty and simply go home with no consequences. That was something we could not risk.”
This excuse seems flimsy at best though, given the physical evidence clearly linking Boden to the crime.
Public outrage resulting from the slap on the wrist given to this monster has been fierce. At least 1,000 local Texans registered to protest the decision outside the courthouse.
“It makes you say, ‘Here we are in 2015, in a highly civilized society, yet we have no grand jury indictment of a child sexual assault on a two-year-old child,'” said Texas Association Against Sexual Assault representative Rose Luna.
