Students are defending a Montana high school girl’s right not to wear a bra at school.

Helena High School senior Kaitlyn Juvik was allegedly asked to change her clothes because somebody complained it was making him or her uncomfortable, KRTV reports.

Juvik was consequently given a dress code violation.

“What I was confronted about was wrong … As long as nothing is showing and you’re covered up, girls should not have to wear a bra,” Juvik said.

Since then, many have grown outraged by the incident, with students protesting and creating a Facebook pagecalled “No Bra, No Problem.”

“The movement for gender equality, women’s rights, & being comfortable. Against discrimination in schools, we focus on the right for girls to go bra-less,” the page’s description reads.

“The fact that I was told it makes people uncomfortable offended me because it’s my body,” Juvik said outside of a gathering in front of the school. “It is my natural body and I’m not sure why that is uncomfortable to somebody.”

Male students are also showing their support for Juvik. They plan on wearing bras outside of their clothes in solidarity.

Juvik’s mother explains this protest is about more than just wearing bras — it’s about sexual objectification and body shaming.

“I stand behind my daughter 100%! I am very proud of the point she is trying to make and the movement that she and her friends have created. This movement is not just about wearing/not wearing a bra. Our daughters are body shamed and sexualized on a daily basis. We need to teach them to be comfortable in their own skin and not feel like they have to hide under their clothes. The schools have bigger fish to fry than worrying about whether or not my daughter is wearing a bra! Ask your daughters if they wear a bra on a regular basis, I think you will be surprised by the answer!”

Who do you agree with now that you’ve read the article and seen her photo, the school or Kaitlyn?

Wow! Her boobs are pretty big…..doesn’t bother me….just wondering….I need support for my boobs! Doesn’t it hurt to let them hang like that? Maybe she’s still young enough that they don’t bother her yet! Eventually, gravity will win, then the back pain, etc. starts!

Kaitin’s right. School administrators need to find something really useful to do. If this is all they can come up with, the district could save some money and terminate them.

Why is the administrators looking at young girls boobs anyway. Sounds like the school district hired a bunch of perverts!!!

I’m sure it was another girl who was complaining. Wonder why we lost the concept of dealing with the complainer and went to picking on someone for no reason. What was wrong on telling complainer to MYOB – grow up snotflake – suck it up buttercup.

Move along, nothing to see here…..Just another example of Schools trying to either CONTROL the YOUNG COMRADE MASSES or make a mountain out of a mole hill to show that they’re “doing their job” to justify their paychecks without actually addressing the REAL issues in our Public Indoctrination System……..

If the schools want to enforce a policy on girls wearing bras, then they need to update the dress code and get it approved for all schools in the district.

Breasts show through even when women wear a bra, the real issue here are the nipples.

Kaitlyn is right, the bra is a western culture thing and most women on Earth do not wear bras. In fact in many cultures women don’t cover their upper body at all. Kaitlyn would look nice wearing just her necklace because she fits the stereotypical thin & beautiful, but if this same girl weighed 2 or 3 times as much as she does in the photo then no one would complain about her nipples showing through her opaque clothing because they wouldn’t give her a second look. Shame on the complainer and a staff that listened to their jealousy. I can almost guaranty it wasn’t a guy that complained… at least not a normal red blooded guy.

As a veteran educator, I can certainly see the nipples through this girl’s blouse. So, yes. She needs to wear underwear. Perhaps the Dress Code needs to be updated to include an “underwear clause”. Unfortunately, many young people try to push the boundaries of decorum, and their parents allow it, rather than teaching them propriety. Then many parents defend the actions. What they allow at home is their business. But what is done in public is the business of the school administration.

Going by your logic, a male should have to rear a tight girdle to prevent a bulge of his man parts from showing on the front of his jeans!
      Geez. Get a life!

Auto correct put the wrong word into my comment. The word should have been “Wear”, not rear!

that’s not an issue with the intentional baggy pants, but there is an issue that needs to be addressed (pardon the pun), that’s the young men with their baggy pants hanging down as many inches below the belly button as possible, without showing anything but boxer shorts! I personally find this issue more offensive than any trim an fit young woman flaunting her beauty.

That’s ’cause they are advertising they take it in the rear! Started in prisons to show they’re somebody’s “queen’.

looks fine to me also, only thing i could possibly see being a breast man myself as with the schools princapals in the almost sign of a nipple. other than that, wearing no bra will make them sag later, i grew up with 3 sisters so it’s not hard to see, love being free but stand up breasts is a plus for any girl or woman.

What the tax payer funded federal indoctrination centers should be worried about is graduating twelve graders reading at the third grade level.

studies have shown that not wearing a bra is better for the breast muscles . I am 61 grew up when most tops required no bra I love it . I rode horses without them , ran in races without them . never bothered me . still dont ! I hate a bra , I only wear them to church and the stores now days if its cooler weather I just wear a jacket . with so many other things going on the our country right and so many evil people making laws to kill the preborn baby even after birth . I think we can find another reason to bitch

The students should wear uniforms, this Girl is definitely trying to attract attention,Tell it like it is people.

    February 16, 2019 at 8:57 pm

I dont really see or believe that a bra would make a big difference. I mean her boobs are large and a bra certainly wouldn’t change that at all. As far as the nipple is concerned, that could also be the way the material rest against her breast.

So let me get this straight. The public school that has a problem with anyone reading the bible is school is now also having a problem with a beautiful girl strutting her figure? Really?

If the code bans females from wearing tops that clearly show their nipples, then this girl has violated it. Would have to change code to permit it b

Why does the body always have to be sexualized? What is wrong with someone not wearing a bra? Yes, you can see the nipple pushing through. Who really gives a crap? Only perverts are the problem. We should be allowed to be nude and people should get over it and worry about other things like babies being murdered in the womb.

Who ever is making the decision here should have his mouth washed out with soap and his brain cleansed. What he is seeing is what he is imagining or wishing he was. So her nipples show as bumps under the shirt but nothing is actually visible. So to the old men and old women who are making the fuss over what the ladies wish they had and the old men are quietly enjoying what their mind tells them what is there. She is an attractive young woman and maybe even doesnt understand what is going on…come on people ypu could make her feel like she is bad or defective in her body shape ! Give her a medal for being such a good version of womanhood !

Chuck the bra…and then wear a MAGA shirt …that will really piss them off…then the bra will be forgotten..a lot of women don’t wear underwear….ok so what…just think .this girl could go have an abortion..and she would be supported by the school.

She looks fine. What the hell is wrong with these school administrators? In this current society it is OK too murder infants (Abortion) even after birth – Infanticide, but is not OK to go without a bra? Is it me who is insane, or these wack jobs in positions o authority? I say it is the latter!

She looks fine – NOW. Braless will leave her hanging lower than she really wants when she is older. Her age will be judged by how low they get and she can tuck them in her waistband. I’m 84 and mine
are up where they’re supposed to be and I’m proud of them.

I suggest she pull her shirt all the way ON instead of letting it hang off the shoulder, but unless she is bouncing badly when she walks I see no problem with her picture attire. She does have enough on top that I think they should be restrained though, especially during gym class! I remember being forced into a bra in 5th grade by Mom and feeling very conspicuous as none of the other girls were developed enough to have to wear one. Each school I’ve worked for has a dress code though and students ARE expected to stick to it. If there are complaints or a problem, the student in question can be asked to put something over their clothes or sent home to change into something more acceptable. I’ve even had students been told to turn their shirts inside out because someone didn’t like what it said…even though it wasn’t vulgar or advertising booze or tobacco.
