One would think that if someone were a politician that they would be held to a higher standard or at the very least hold themselves to a higher standard with the way the express themselves in public or conduct business.
Shoot I know of a local politician in a small town years ago that resigned from his position because he inadvertently used a hundred dollars of the town’s money to buy supplies for a town project without the town council’s permission. That is an honorable man.
What isn’t an honorable man is someone that a group of people elect to office, to hold to a higher standard who then decides that it is perfectly fine to tell someone to kill themselves because they have a difference of opinion.
What bothers me about that is that there is an epidemic of suicide in this country the likes of which we have never seen and that was the first thing the guy went to.
Via Breitbart:
A New York state Democratic senator sponsoring a bill that would require potential gun owners to submit to social media background checks told a Republican aide over Twitter on Tuesday to “kill” herself.
New York Sen. Kevin Parker (D-Brooklyn) sent the violent tweet to the New York State Senate Majority’s deputy communications director, Candice Giove, on Tuesday morning after Giove accused Parker of misusing a New York Senate parking placard. Parker responded to the accusations by telling Giove, “Kill yourself!”
It got to the bottom of this. The placard is assigned to @SenatorParker. However, the license plate # on the placard does not match the vehicle. So he either used it in another car or gave it to someone to use, both of which are not permitted. https://t.co/dcu6ZUyVVO

The New York Democrat deleted the tweet within minutes and issued an apology within the hour:
Did a Senator just write this to me? https://t.co/qhR0Uzarrv

But that did not stop Parker from attacking Giove on Twitter just hours after the tweet. Parker mocked Giove on Tuesday afternoon for being “on the wrong side of history for every important issue facing New York State.”
