Woman Is Too Drunk To Drive Home, Discovers A SHOCKER In Bar Parking Lot

She slept it off but never saw this one coming!

She had a drink at Original Joe’s Restaurant and Bar. Then another. Then another and then a few more. As drunk as she was, she knew that she had no business driving home.

After taking an Uber to her house, Paula Grzelak-Schultz was feeling pretty good about herself. She got a good night’s rest, then made her way back down to Original Joe’s.

What she found waiting for her has everyone, Paula and her husband included, beside themselves.

Her car was not damaged. She did not receive a ticket or an angry note. Stuck on Paula’s windshield was a well-written, concise letter from the bar’s managing partner, Jay McLean.

“I’m not sure if you had consumed alcohol at our restaurant or not,” McLean wrote. “But we wanted to thank you for not drinking and driving. Enclosed is a voucher for 1lb of our delicious chicken wings. Please accept this as a thank you for being responsible. Life is valuable, have a great weekend.”

Jay McClean has been leaving similar notes on cars for the past year, as he views it as a way to help people and to spread positivity. He actually got the idea from another bar but the habit is certainly helping his business.

Paula plans to return.

On Facebook, she wrote:

So I can’t believe what has been happening. This story has taken on a life of its own! It’s sad that there are haters out there, trying to taint such a great feel good story with their cynicism. However, majority of the response has been positive. Jay, is a great guy, truly only doing what he feels is right. I can’t believe that some people actually are accusing him of taking advantage of the situation. He’s been doing it for over a year, with no expectations. Just being a good guy. Check out the numbers at the bottom of the picture!!! WOW!

Hopefully, more establishments will follow this lead.
