Watch as Trey Gowdy SMACKS the Smirk Right Off Strzoks Slimy Face [VIDEO]
A joint hearing was held between the House Oversight Committee and the House Judiciary Committee yesterday.
Former FBI agent Peter Strzok was the “guest of honor,” one might say.
Republican Chairman Trey Gowdy didn’t waste any time in totally destroying Strzok.
In his opening comments, he spoke about Strzok’s clear anti-Trump bias in the Clinton private server investigation as well as special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged Trump/Russia ties.
Strzok and his lover/colleague Lisa Page were found to have sent numerous damning text messages back and forth with anti-Trump conversation topics.
Strzok could clearly be seen in the background while Gowdy was speaking, smirking and rolling his eyes.
This was a top agent in the FBI under former President Barack Obama.
Take a look for yourself:
Fox News reports:
An already raucous hours-long Congressional hearing into FBI agent Peter Strzok’s apparent anti-Trump bias boiled over on Thursday afternoon, as a top Republican asked the “smirking” Strzok whether he was lying under oath the same way he “lied” to his wife while he carried on an affair with now-former FBI lawyer Lisa Page.
Republican Representative Louie Gohmert screamed over objectifying Democrats, “The disgrace is what this man has done to our justice system. I can’t help but wonder, when I see you looking there with a little smirk, how many times did you look so innocent into your wife’s eyes and lie to her about Lisa Page?”
The Democrats quickly began complaining even more. One even yelled out, “Mr. Chairman, this is intolerable harassment of the witness.” Another screamed out, “You need your medication.”
Both Peter Strzok and Lisa Page sent multiple text messages back and forth to one another on their FBI-issued phones, having conversations that were obviously hostile toward then-presidential candidate Donald Trump in 2016 presidential election.
It was reported last month that Strzok and Page communicated via their work phones as to not get caught by their spouses.
Fox News writes:
Page had been expected to testify Wednesday in a closed-door session, but backed out at the last minute, saying she needed more time to prepare. She is now expected to interview privately on Friday with GOP leaders.
Gohmert’s question was just one of several tense moments in the hearing, the Republicans’ first opportunity to question the embattled FBI agent publicly. Democrats frequently interrupted the proceedings during questioning by GOP representatives.
A senior House Republican told Fox News that the hearing has been a “disaster for both sides,” saying that Strzok has come out looking better than the bitterly feuding Democrats and Republicans in the House.
President Trump sent out a tweet saying, “As I head out to a very important NATO meeting, I see that FBI Lover/Agent Lisa Page is dodging a Subpoena & is reusing to show up and testify. What can she possibly say about her statements and lies. So much corruption on the other side. Where is the Attorney General? @FoxNews”.
