Officers Arrive On The Scene Of Fatal Crash, Then Notice Something Under Driver Seat [VIDEO]

 

A Wednesday morning car crash claimed the lives of two people and put two others in the hospital in critical condition near Fillmore, Utah.

According to Utah Highway Patrol, a driver going the wrong way down I-15 in a Jeep Grand Cherokee collided with a Honda carrying three people south of Fillmore (video below).

Jessie N. Wilkerson, 18, was found to be the driver of the car going the wrong way, the Salt Lake Tribune reported. After the crash, she was found pinned beneath her Jeep but alive. UHP also discovered a bottle of alcohol behind her seat.

Driving the Honda was Larry J. Martin, 25, who was killed on impact despite wearing a seat belt, Fox 13 reported. The Salt Lake Tribune, however, reported that Martin was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

In the vehicle with him was Kaela Hernandez, 27, who had been sleeping in the back seat without a seatbelt on at the time of the crash. She was thrown from the vehicle during the crash and died on impact as well.

In the passenger seat of the Honda was 29-year-old Joseph C. Martin. He was wearing a seat belt and survived the crash, according to UHP. However, he suffers now from critical injuries sustained in the collision.

The three people in the Honda were believed to have been traveling to a business convention.
