Jennifer Lawrence Sparks Outrage Blaming Hurricanes On Trump [VIDEO]

Jennifer Lawrence’s statement during an interview sparked outrage as she seems to suggest that Hurricanes Harvey and Irma were “mother nature’s rage and wrath” at America for electing Donald Trump.

The 27-year-old actress appeared on TV on British network Channel 4 to promote her new movie, “Mother!” where she made the controversial statements that angered a lot of people.

She discussed topics ranging from the movie to the gender pay gap and Trump. She seemed to put the blame for the natural disasters firmly with voters who are skeptical about global warming.

“It’s also scary to know that climate change is due to human activity, and we continue to ignore it, and the only voice that we really have is through voting.”

After she was reminded that Americans did vote and chose Trump, she replied, “And we voted and it was really startling.”

“You know you’re watching these hurricanes now, and it’s really hard especially while promoting this movie, not to feel mother nature’s rage and wrath,” she added.

She later said the conversation topics of Trump and U.S. politics were “really polarizing and upsetting.”

“I’ve heard things and seen things on TV in my own country that devastate me and make me sick and it’s just really confusing,” she added.

After being asked whether she finds Trump confusing, the actress fired back, saying, “I don’t find him confusing. I think I know exactly what he is.”

It is not the first time she made comments against President Trump. Wayback in 2015 when Trump starts his campaign, she spoke to Entertainment Weekly in a similar apocalyptic manner, commenting “If Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world” says Lawrence.

Afterward Trump’s election in 2016, the actress said she was attending the same event as the president elect and that she wanted to make a video of herself saying ‘Hey Trump, F**k you’ while giving him the middle finger.

Twitter was soon inundated with harsh messages about the A-lister, with one user writing: “Hurricanes Irma, Harvey are nature’s ‘wrath’ for Trump victory, Jennifer Lawrence claims… Dumb a** Hollyweird.”(sic)

While another referred to her as “another mentally ill leftie”, someone else posted: “Possibly nuttier than previously thought,” alongside a link to her quotes.
