Mohsin Akram, 21, has been arrested after beating his wife with a hammer. Akram, a Pakistani asylum seeker, will not be deported – no, he is free to live in the United Kingdom. According to the Daily Mail, Akram came home drunk, got upset, and beat his wife.
Apparently, Akram’s food wasn’t ready for him when he got home – so was teaching her a lesson. According to the Daily Mail, Akram had met his 20-year-old wife on Facebook. Once they were married, he held her prisoner in their home.
She wasn’t allowed to have a mobile phone, leave the house, or have internet access. She endured months of abuse which all ended with the assault with the hammer.
The terrified woman repeatedly begged him to stop – but eventually escaped. When the police arrived at the home, Akram had filed a missing person’s’ report and was walking up and down the street looking for his wife.
s this guy violent, but he also seems to be a little messed up in his head. Akram’s wife was treated for cuts and bruising to both arms, her mid back, and fingers. Akram was sentenced to 15 months in jail by sentencing Judge Tom Crowther.
Crowther felt that 15 months was enough of a penalty and that there was no need to have this outrageously violent man sent back to Pakistan. Many locals are wondering why Akram is being allowed to stay.
Akram’s wife, Mrs. Hussain is understandable outraged that her attacker will be allowed to live his life like normal once his sentence is over.
