A mother from Melbourne, Australia, boasting an extraordinary height and legs that make up 69% of her frame, is considering reaching out to the Guinness Book of World Records to potentially claim the title for the longest legs.
Standing tall and proud, Caroline Arthur has been dubbed a “human skyscraper” by her own kids. With legs that make up 69% of her 6-foot-2-inch frame, this former model’s legs measure an astounding 51 ½ inches long. Caroline’s extraordinary length has caught the attention of many, and she’s even considering reaching out to the Guinness Book of World Records to see if she could claim the title for the longest legs.
In an interview with Barcroft TV, Caroline discussed her unique stature and the possibility of breaking the current record, held by a Russian woman since 2003, whose legs measure 51.9 inches. Caroline confidently stated, “I believe that they are definitely the longest in Australia and, as far as I know, in America too.”
She further expressed her interest in obtaining an official measurement, saying, “Because it’s so close, I think it is worth contacting them and finding out exactly where they measure from and getting an official, accurate measurement done.”
Caroline’s impressive height hasn’t come without its fair share of challenges. Finding clothing that fits, especially jeans and pants, has been a struggle. She often has to prioritize leg coverage over waist size when shopping for clothes. However, Caroline isn’t the only tall member of her family. Her husband Cameron shares a similar height, and their children, 13-year-old Cooper and 15-year-old Zoe, are following in their parents’ footsteps, already standing at 6 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 9 inches, respectively. Intriguingly, Caroline’s mother is only 5 feet 3 inches tall.
Growing up, Caroline faced ridicule and teasing because of her size. Kids at school called her “Caroline the Powerline,” which affected her self-esteem. However, at the age of 15, Caroline started modeling and found a newfound confidence in her unique features. “I started modeling when I was around 15, and that gave me confidence,” she said. Though her legs sometimes landed her modeling gigs, they also served as a double-edged sword.
Caroline shared, “I was told that I’m too tall for Australian beauty standards and couldn’t model clothes because they just wouldn’t fit me. So as much as I did get work because of my long legs, I also got knocked back for the same reason.”
Despite some difficulties, Caroline has embraced her distinctive height and the attention it brings. “I just know by now that if I’m going out with people in the evening, I’m going to get a lot of attention, so I am sort of used to it,” she said. Caroline also acknowledged that most people’s reactions to her legs are positive, with only a few making unkind remarks.
Now, at 39 years old, Caroline feels more secure and beautiful than ever before. Her husband, Cameron, also appreciates her height, noting that standing beside her has been beneficial for his posture. He quipped, “Being married to her is definitely good for my posture because I have to stand up straight.”
