Did They Just Catch Joe Biden In A Total Lie On Camera About Hunter?

As expected, Joe Biden stands unwaveringly by his scandal-ridden family member, even as serious allegations threaten to overshadow his administration.

Joe defended his embattled son Hunter during his first interview since announcing his re-election bid, proclaiming, “My son has done nothing wrong,” and praising him on MSNBC with Stephanie Ruhle.

The president’s comments come amidst the possibility of Hunter Biden facing federal charges on tax and gun-related offenses. Despite being under investigation since 2018, Joe Biden remains steadfast in his faith in his son, saying, “I trust him. I have faith in him, and it impacts my presidency by making me feel proud of him.”

U.S. Attorney David Weiss, a Trump appointee, is leading the investigation into Hunter Biden. According to a Fox News report in 2020, he could potentially face two misdemeanor tax filing charges, a felony tax evasion charge, and a false statement charge over a gun purchase. Yet, Joe continues to stand by his son, even as the investigation nears a decision on whether to bring charges.

Unbelievably, during the MSNBC interview, Joe Biden went on to claim that he is one of the most qualified presidential candidates in U.S. history. When Ruhle asked, “Why would an 82-year-old Joe Biden be the right person for the most important job in the world?”

Biden responded, “Because I have acquired a hell of a lot of wisdom. I know more than the vast majority of people and I’m more experienced than anybody who’s ever run for the office.” He further boasted, “And I think I’ve proven myself to be honorable as well as also, effective.”

In a bid to shift blame, Joe attributed his sinking approval rating to negative media coverage. “Why do you think your polling is where it is?” Ruhle asked. Biden replied, “Well, I don’t think people—by the way, every major one who won re-election, their polling numbers were what mine are now.” Ruhle countered, “Put polling aside then, sentiment in this country despite all these wins is not very good.”

In an attempt to deflect responsibility, Joe Biden said, “All they’ve heard is negative news for three years, everything is negative. And I’m not being critical of the press, but you turn on the television, the only way you’re gonna get a hit is something negative.”

It’s disheartening to see the so-called leader of the free world defending his son in the face of potential criminal charges while simultaneously boasting about his qualifications and blaming the media for his low approval ratings. As the investigation into Hunter Biden’s actions unfolds, one can only wonder how Joe Biden’s stance might affect the perception of his presidency and the Democratic Party as a whole.
