This 19yr Old Got A Tattoo On Her Body And Immediately Regretted It… [PHOTOS]

A young woman warns others not to get tattoos in honor of their partners after she tattoos her boyfriend’s initials on her bikini line and then they break up two weeks later.

For years, young adults and teenagers have been cautioned about the permanence of tattoos and the importance of careful consideration before getting inked. Regrettably, many still fail to take this advice to heart.

Nineteen-year-old Megan Carey experienced this firsthand when she impulsively decided to tattoo her boyfriend’s initials above her bikini line after rekindling their relationship. However, a mere two weeks later, he broke up with her. Megan had chosen a design featuring a heart transforming into the letter “J,” confident that their relationship would last.

Reflecting on her decision, Megan said, “The relationship was up and down from the beginning, but after a break and getting back together, I was pretty confident in the relationship.” She believed that since her boyfriend was older, 21 years old, their relationship was more serious.

Megan explained that her boyfriend was planning to get a sleeve tattoo, and they had discussed incorporating each other’s names into their respective tattoos. He was supportive of the idea, and she got her tattoo as a result. However, after a series of arguments, he sent her a text message ending their relationship. Megan was left shocked and laughing at the irony of her tattoo, which she would have otherwise cried about.

Now, Megan is urging other young women not to get tattoos in honor of their partners. This long-standing advice seems to be lost on the new generation. Megan’s friends and the tattoo artist both tried to dissuade her from getting the tattoo, with the artist even laughing at her request.

Megan recalled, “When I messaged the tattoo artist to book in, he sent laughing faces back to me, and when I went to get it done, he was taking the mick saying ‘what are you doing’. He said he’d do it small enough to be covered easily – that should have been a red flag. He didn’t charge me for it in the end because it was so small.”

She added that her ex-boyfriend’s reaction was unexpectedly calm and indifferent, and they never spoke of the tattoo again. Her friends had warned her against the tattoo, calling her an “idiot” for getting it, and she now admits she should have listened.

Megan is left with a constant reminder of her failed relationship and deeply regrets her decision. She said, “Just knowing that I’ve still got his initial tattooed on me is the worst part. I regret getting it done 100 percent.” She is now considering either covering the tattoo or having it removed with laser treatment.

To those contemplating getting a partner’s initials tattooed, Megan strongly advises against it, calling it a “waste of time and not worth it.”
