The Coronavirus Pandemic Select Subcommittee of House Republicans has recently brought to light documents that cast doubt on Dr. Anthony Fauci’s claims about his role in a February 2020 conference call addressing the origins of COVID-19. I must emphasize the gravity of these revelations, as they have the potential to unveil a hidden truth about the manipulation of information surrounding the pandemic.
Documents released by the House committee last Friday indicate that Fauci may have had a significant hand in determining the participants of the conference call. This contradicts his repeated assertions that he had no influence over the selection process. The American people deserve to know the truth, as it is essential to maintain transparency and accountability in our public health institutions.
Dr. Robert Redfield, the former Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), informed the committee earlier this month that he was deliberately excluded from the conference call by Fauci. He posits that his exclusion was due to his desire at the time to “aggressively pursue” an investigation into the lab leak theory. Such an allegation cannot be taken lightly, as it suggests that certain voices were deliberately silenced to curate a particular narrative.
Despite Fauci’s insistence that he “had nothing to do with who would be on that call,” and that he “didn’t put anybody on the list of the call, nor did [he] take anybody [off],” the committee noted that recent emails tell a different story. These emails reveal Fauci’s involvement in inviting and confirming the participation of Dr. Francis Collins, who was not initially on the guest list. This discrepancy indicates that Fauci may have played a more prominent leadership role in the conference call than he has admitted in media interviews.

In response to these revelations, the committee demanded that Fauci “produce all documents and communications in [his] custody or control regarding [his] involvement in the planning of the February 1, 2020, conference call, specifically documents regarding the invitation and participation of Dr. Francis Collins, as soon as possible, but no later than March 31, 2023.” The request reflects the urgency and importance of uncovering the truth.

I cannot stress enough the significance of these findings. The American people deserve transparency from our public health officials, especially during a global pandemic. If it is true that Fauci lied about his role in determining the participants of the conference call and potentially silenced voices that sought to investigate alternative theories on COVID-19’s origins, then it is imperative that we hold him accountable.
The health and well-being of our nation depend on the trust we place in our public institutions, and any attempt to manipulate information or silence dissenting voices must be brought to light. It is our duty as citizens to demand honesty and integrity from those tasked with leading us through crises.
Therefore, we must keep a close eye on the proceedings of the Coronavirus Pandemic Select Subcommittee and the outcome of their investigation into Dr. Fauci’s actions
