Well folks, it looks like Hunter Biden is in hot water again. This time, it’s because of his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle‘s tell-all memoir, “If We Break.”
Buhle spills the tea on their marriage, which lasted a whopping 24 years and ended in 2015. According to People magazine, their divorce wasn’t finalized until April 2017, just a few weeks after Hunter revealed he was in a relationship with his late brother’s widow, Hallie Biden. That relationship ended in 2019, and in May of that year, Hunter married South African filmmaker Melissa Cohen.
But let’s get back to Buhle’s book. In it, she talks about her side of the story regarding her divorce from Hunter and how their split played out in court. She also sheds light on some pretty serious allegations she made against Hunter back in 2017. She claimed in a legal filing that Hunter had spent money on drugs, alcohol, prostitutes, and strip clubs. And let me tell you, addiction and infidelity can take a heavy toll on relationships.
But that’s not all. Recently, newly released emails from Hunter’s laptop have caused even more trouble for him. It seems that Hunter’s longtime business partner Eric Schwerin was described by Hunter as a “close confidant and counsel” to then-Vice President Joe Biden. This raises some serious questions about whether or not Joe Biden knew or was involved with any of Hunter’s shady business deals while he was the vice president.
In an email thread from February 2014, Schwerin asked Hunter to review a letter of recommendation he had written on behalf of Joe Biden. Schwerin wanted to make sure the letter wasn’t “too over the top” and that Joe Biden would be comfortable sending it. Hunter replied that the letter was “good,” but suggested toning down the parts about Joe Biden and his son. Schwerin then said he was trying to make sure the reader understood there was a real relationship between him and Joe Biden.
This is not a good look for Hunter or his father. Joe Biden has repeatedly insisted that he has never spoken with Hunter about the family’s overseas interests. But other emails from the laptop seem to show that Schwerin was involved in the Biden family’s finances and even helped move money around for both Joe and Hunter.
And it’s not just the emails causing problems for Hunter. He’s been outed as having fathered a child with a stripper and had a romantic relationship with his late brother’s widow. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware is also investigating Hunter over his “tax affairs.” According to CNN, investigators are looking into whether Hunter and his associates violated tax and money laundering laws in business dealings with Chinese companies.
It’s a real mess, folks. And let’s not forget about the Secret Service’s recent announcement that it found hundreds of documents related to Hunter’s purchase of a handgun that was later found discarded in a dumpster behind a small grocer in Delaware.
I have to say, it’s not looking good for Hunter. It seems like his past mistakes and questionable business dealings are finally catching up with him. But what does this all mean for Joe Biden? Well, that remains to be seen. But it certainly raises some serious questions about his involvement in his son’s affairs.
