I have some troubling news to share with you about the Democrats. You see, the Democratic Party operates much like a criminal organization, with a code of silence among its members. They need to maintain a united front against outsiders to keep their corrupt organization running smoothly. But recently, one Democrat broke rank and shared a shocking truth about President Joe Biden’s future.
Rep. Dean Phillips of Minnesota went on the record and cast doubt on Biden’s capacity for another presidential run. In an interview with The Atlantic, Phillips expressed a preference that the erratic Biden should not be the only option for Democrats in the 2024 election. He revealed that many other Democrats are privately sharing the same sentiment.
“This is not a knock on Joe Biden, just a wish for competition,” the congressman said. “Believe me, there are literally hundreds in Congress who would say the same thing. But they simply won’t f***ing say a word.”
The truth is, Biden’s advanced age is a huge problem for the Democrats. He turned 80 on Nov. 20, making him the oldest American president. If he were to be sworn in in 2025, he would be 82. If he made it all the way through a second term, he would be 86. According to Harvard Health Publishing, life expectancy for white Americans had dropped to 76.4 years, and it’s declining. Biden is already well past that milestone.
But it’s not just his age that’s problematic. Paired with the cognitive failings he consistently displays, there are serious questions about whether Biden is capable of acting as president. The disturbing pattern includes inappropriate laughter about Americans suffering, disconcerting public lapses, and unconvincing explanations for his growing scandals.
Many people wonder if someone else is running the White House from behind the scenes; former President Barack Obama has been suggested as a possibility. It’s not just an inconvenience to have such a diminished chief executive. It’s a national security risk and even a danger to world peace, as noted last month by one-time White House physician and current Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson.
“It’s TERRIFYING for our country that Biden is our commander-in-chief,” the Republican wrote. “His cognitive decline is going to get people KILLED!!”
Biden isn’t up to being president now, and there is nothing to suggest he will improve. Even Democratic voters see the concerns and do not want a Biden second term. Before the State of the Union address in February, The Associated Press, in conjunction with NORC at the University of Chicago, released a poll that found only 37 percent of Democratic voters supported Biden running a second time.
It’s clear that Biden is not fit to serve as president, and it’s time for the Democrats to acknowledge that. As Phillips fumed, they will internally acknowledge the truth, but when the time comes, they will all fall in line and not say a bleeping word. This is the kind of corruption and hypocrisy that we’ve come to expect from the Democratic Party. They claim to stand for democracy and transparency, but they’re willing to hide the truth and put the nation’s security at risk to maintain their grip on power.
We need to hold them accountable and demand better. We need leaders who are transparent and honest, who put the nation’s interests first, and who have the mental and physical capacity to lead. We cannot afford to have a president who is not up to the job, and we cannot afford to have a political party that values power over principle.
It’s time for a change. It’s time for a new generation of leaders who will put the nation’s interests first and who will be honest with the American people. We deserve nothing less.
