He Was A Star Of One Of The Biggest Shows Of All Time, And You’d Never Be Able To Recognize…

Cosmo Kramer, a character he played on Seinfeld from 1989 to 1998, is the most well-known role that Michael Richards has ever played. Following a racist incident involving a Black fan, Richards experienced a very public fall from popularity. The 70-year-old Richards has been avoiding the media ever since.

But when he was recently seen taking a stroll outside in Los Angeles, California, old admirers couldn’t help but note that he appeared to be a completely different man. The former comedian was spotted sitting in the trunk of his car following a day outdoors walking and biking, with an unkempt white beard and yellowed teeth. You wouldn’t identify the well-known actor!

While the rest of the country is dealing with race riots and the coronavirus pandemic, Richards, 70, was spotted relaxing in the trunk of his car with his feet up. Richards is still estimated to be worth $45 million, despite the negative consequences of his conduct.

Over the years, the comedian has maintained a modest profile. Especially in light of his racist outburst from 2006, which cost him his career. He afterwards expressed regret.

And despite apologizing for his racial outburst on a Black fan, he hasn’t been in the public eye since and has avoided the spotlight. However, when he was invited onto Seinfeld’s new show Comedians in Cards Getting Coffee back in 2012, Richards spoke candidly about the incident with his former co-star Jerry Seinfeld

Richards told the billionaire comedian, “It broke me down,” in a direct conversation with his former Seinfeld co-star, Richards said that being caught on camera screaming racial slurs as a Black fan still haunted him.

The video was shot at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood, where Richards had been asked to perform a standup comedy performance. In the incident, which was caught on camera, Richards yelled at a heckler in his audience and called the critic a “n****r.” Richards has largely remained in hiding since the career-ending incident, as he has found it nearly impossible to find work.

Michael Richards hurls racial slurs and abuse at the critic, demanding that security at the comedy club do his bidding and “Throw his ass out… He’s a n*****!” There’s a n***** there!” in the disturbing video.

Richards said, “That’s a lesson I learned… when I blew it in the comedy club. I lost my temper because somebody interrupted my act and said some things that hurt me, and I lashed out in anger,” when speaking to Seinfeld about being a “selfless” comedy performer during the pity interview.

“I should have been working selflessly that evening. It was a selfish response. I took it too personally, and I should have just said: ‘Yeah, you’re absolutely right. I’m not funny. I think I’ll go home and work on my material, and I’ll see you tomorrow night.’ But – you know – it was just one of those nights,” he added.

“I busted up after that event… It broke me down,” Richards admitted.

Following his racist outburst, Seinfeld publicly supported Richards. Saying, “And thanks for sticking by me. It meant a lot to me. ‘But inside, it still kicks me around,” he expressed gratitude to the billionaire during his 2012 appearance on the interview-style program.
