A Christian couple is facing backlash on TikTok after a video outlining the “rules” they have for their marriage has gone viral.
The controversial video posted on TikTok by Bailey McPherson says some of the rules in her and her husband’s marriage include a ban on porn and being alone with members of the opposite sex.
The video has a caption on it that says, “Rules my husband and I have for our marriage that make people ANGRY.”
Bailey, who has been married to her husband Zac since 2018, describes herself as “hella conservative”.
The clip has been viewed more than 2 million times and is living up to its title, with many viewers outraged by the pair’s pacts.
The California-based Christian revealed her rules are: “No friends with the opposite sex,” “No being alone with the opposite sex” and “No texting the opposite sex without the other knowing.”
Additional agreements include: “No lusting after others (following scandalous pages),” “No porn,” and “Always put each other first (even over parents).”
Bailey was faced with so much criticism that she has now disabled comments beneath the video.
Folks online were not impressed with Bailey’s strict marriage rules. Some people called the couple “insecure.”
“Tell me you don’t trust your partner without telling me you don’t trust your partner,” one follower reportedly wrote, while others described Bailey as “insecure” and “insane.”

“Sorry, this is absolutely insane,” another said.
Meanwhile, some folks have also flooded her other TikTok videos to blast the rules, with one writing: “Lmao, the fact you think these rules will keep a person faithful shows how delusional you are. A person will do what they want to do.”
