Across the United States today, more and more teachers and parents are speaking out against school boards for allowing curriculum that includes materials on racism, lewdness, and transgenderism.

In a bid to beat alleged racism, some schools are pushing for critical race theory to be taught in classrooms, which was met with intense pushback from parents and teachers alike. Transgenderism is also a hot-button issue among parents and teachers.

Most recently, a public school teacher in Northern Virginia decided to leave her job as an educator after her school district committed to teaching critical race theory, which she believes is a “highly politicized agenda.”

Laura Morris explained to the school board why the “equity trainings” and political dogma gave her no choice but to resign. She also spoke out against teachers being asked to report on their colleagues if they criticized the teaching program.

The fifth-grade teacher has taught at Lucketts Elementary School in Leesburg, Virginia, for five years, and has been a teacher for 10 years.

“Within the last year, I was told in one of my so-called equity trainings that White, Christian, able-bodied females currently have the power in our schools and that ‘this has to change,’” said teacher Laura Morris, who worked in the Loudoun County Public Schools district. 

“Clearly, you’ve made your point,” she added. “You no longer value me or many other teachers you’ve employed in this county. So since my contract outlines the power that you have over my employment in Loudoun County Public Schools, I thought it necessary to resign in front of you.”

According to the Daily Mail, Morris also slammed the school board’s fixation on CRT lessons in schools.

“This summer I have struggled with the idea of returning to school, knowing that I’ll be working yet again with a school division that, despite its shiny tech and flashy salary, promotes political ideologies that do not square with who I am as a believer in Christ,” she added.

Morris has been sick and tired of the “lack of consideration for the growing population of concerned citizens in this division.”
