Being in a car crash can be a very traumatic experience, you’re thankful when anyone comes to your aid, but this guy decided to take advantage of the situation.
Well, that’s what exactly happened to Kimberly Smith who she taught was a good samaritan, that ended up robbing her. Her car accident was so bad that her car actually rolled over. The accident took place in Irving, Texas when her car went off the road.

Smith had just gotten out of the flipped vehicle when a man pretending to be a Good Samaritan approached her and told her he had found her purse.
Then while Smith looked for her phone, the man slipped away under the pretense of calling 911 and drove off in a faded red pickup truck.
“Next thing I know, he’s gone and my wallet is missing,” Smith told Fox 4 News.
“He must be in a hard situation to feel the need to steal from someone that has just gone through a traumatic experience, who could have nearly died or suffered serious injuries.”

Smith works in the jail for a North Texas police department. Her father, Steve, is a retired Dallas and Addison police officer.
“To take advantage of it, to steal from her and then just to leave her there by herself, you wouldn’t want to wish that on anybody,” said Steve.
After the man left, Kimberly Smith says dozens of cars drove by, each one taking her last bit of hope.
“People were slowing down, taking pictures,” she said. “’Hey, can you call 911? Hey, please help.’ Men took off driving. One person stopped.”
The man who finally stopped to help was from out of state. Kimberly Smith says she hopes to be able to find him and thank him.
More details of this story from AWM:
The man who stopped to help Smith was not a Texan. He was in the Lone Star state from out of state and had a heart of gold, which was why he wanted to help her in her time of need. Now, Smith hopes to find out more about the man so she can find him online and thank him for going out of his way to help her when she needed it.
As for the man who robbed her at the crash site, Smith doesn’t have a good description of him. Instead, she simply knows that he was driving a red pickup truck, which she hopes will help people identify him and get him in trouble with the law.
Unfortunately, the man who robbed her is still at large. Police in Texas are hunting for him, but they don’t have much to go on except for the color of his pickup truck.
