A TikToker’s hilarious honest review of Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand SKIMS has gone viral, racking up eight million views in just five days and many users have linked her fight.
The post was created by Adria Barich, a TikTok user based in Nevada who creates comedy videos. In her bio, she describes herself as “A little Italian and a whole lot of fun,” reminding viewers that she’s on the app for laughs.
After her experience with the shapewear was nothing short of a disaster, she posted a brutally—and hilariously—honest video review to TikTok.
It’s left her fellow TikTokers absolutely howling.
She starts the video by saying, “This video is for Kim Kardashian, and Kim Kardashian only.” We then see Barich appear on camera wearing a pair of nude, high-waisted Skims shaping underwear, looking unimpressed.
She comments, “What is this? I thought SKIMS were supposed to make me curvalicious, not Winnie the Pooh wearing too-small underwear.” I may have snorted at this point, relating all too well to trying on ill-fitting shapewear.
She jokingly continues, “I look like the Pillsbury Doughboy. I have two more butt cheeks than I started with.” She then turns around, rear to the camera, and smacks her bum for effect.
She carries on, “Why yes, I am wearing shapewear. Oh, you didn’t know? You couldn’t tell?”
Barich included the hashtag #bodypositivity on her post, and the jokey, deadpan tone of her delivery indicates that she’s not being hard on herself – just laughing at the garments not fitting properly, and thus not getting the Kardashian ‘shaping’ effect that she’d hoped for.
The viral video has accumulated more than fifteen thousand comments since it has gone viral on the platform. People who saw Barich’s “brutally honest” review were quick to share their reactions and let her know that they were going to boycott the brand due to its overpromises and lack of results.
“The shape should apparently be a crispy box of biscuits,” joked one user.
“It says it’s shapewear … it gave you a shape, it just wasn’t specific LOL!” add another.
“Cancel my order,” said a third.
After Barich’s TikTok review of the SKIMS bottoms had gained traction on TikTok, the official SKIMS Instagram account reached out to Barich in a direct message and offered to send her other products from the brand for free.

Barich asked if SKIMS could send her a size large/extra-large in the briefs that she initially tried and documented on TikTok.
Barich said that SKIMS sent her the $62 sculpting bodysuit with snaps, the $32 sculpting bra, and the $36 sculpting high waist brief instead of the mid-waist style. The high-waisted briefs were similar to the original bottoms that Barich tried in her popular TikTok video but have a higher waistline.
Barich told Insider that she ended up liking the bra that SKIMS sent to her, but that the high-waisted briefs still weren’t the best fit for her.
Barich says that she hopes her review videos instill in viewers a sense of confidence — and show people that it’s normal to wear different sizes of different clothing items
