Having a complete set of teeth is one way to great self-esteem. But one mother who almost lost her teeth got a rare chance to have her teeth makeover.
Our teeth have an important function in our lives. Aside from helping us properly digest our food, our teeth are one of the things people see whenever we smile. Losing all of our teeth can affect our health and self-esteem.
Angela Kennedy is a mother of five that had been struggling with her appearance during her adulthood, particularly her teeth.
Fortunately for her, there was a program called Random Act of Happiness that heard of her issues and got in touch with her. This allowed her to work with a group of dental experts called Destination Happiness. Kennedy was very excited to undergo the procedure recommended for her by these experts.
The procedure was a $30,000 makeover that transformed Kennedy’s appearance by fixing her teeth. To her children, she was considered unrecognizable due to the difference. The change helped Kennedy to feel good about her smile, and live her best life. She can now smile with confidence again.
Kennedy was actually nominated for the program by her soon-to-be sister-in-law. On the application, the sister-in-law stated that Angela was the type of person who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She also stated that Kennedy had taken very good care of her five children, and would always put her own needs last. Logically this meant that Kennedy could never get the care she needed for her teeth despite all of the hard work she did.
Dr. Hinckfuss started with an X-ray of Angela’s teeth. This gave him a great place to start the teeth makeover. Step by step and session after session, Angela had work done on her teeth. When she finally had a new set of teeth set into her jaw, she was ready to put the results on full display.
The change in appearance was significant, with some describing Kennedy as looking like a completely new woman. In fact, her family hardly recognized her.

Taking care of your teeth is critical for staying healthy and having good hygiene. A regular dental checkup can help with this. Going at least once every six months, or as often as recommended by your personal dental professional, can really help with keeping your teeth and gums clean, as well as preventing or treating any serious issues.
