Another TikTok user who discussed the attire code at Disneyland has stirred more debate. What was unique about the violation was that it wasn’t the usual crop top or halter.
Ashley Aiello, a TikToker, posted a video explaining her experience and showcasing the attire that caused Disneyland to enforce its dress code.
Aiello introduced her wardrobe reveal by stating that she owns a small business that offers apparel and accessories with Disney themes. Even though she loves Disney, Aiello only gets to travel “one to three times a year,” so she takes use of the chance to shoot product shots for her shop. The fact that the personnel enforced a clothing code astonished her.
“So, me being the extra person I am, I got a ball gown to take in front of the Disneyland castle for product photos with my daughter,” Aiello said, uncovering a photo of her in an elaborate green dress.
“I’ve seen lots of influencers take pictures with ball gowns. I’ve done it before at Disney World. I really didn’t think that there was anything wrong with it!”
Aiello was subject to a dress rule, and many TikTokers raced to the comment area to express their opinions. Others elaborated on the preceding statement by pointing out how Disney’s adult cosplayers might mislead staff members and young guests.
Aiello shared that she “was taking product photos for my small shop, in a princess dress with my daughter, living our best life. If I knew that this was a rule, I wouldn’t have done.”
The dress guidelines for Disney theme parks prohibit floor-length dresses due to a number of security and safety concerns. Costumes “may not reach or drag on the ground,” and layered costumes covering the entire body “may be subject to enhanced security screening,” according to the official website of Disneyland. The website also states that, “Costumes may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older.”
