The arrest occurred during a traffic stop at Fairfield Avenue and West Utah Avenue, LVMPD said they pulled over a driver who was later identified as Lynch for “suspected driver impairment.”
One day after the Seattle Seahawks declared Lynch would represent them as a “special reporter” this year, the arrest was made.
Lynch received a ticket for failing to yield or drive in a travel lane, according to USA Today. He was not the registered owner of the vehicle.
The former Seahawks star was being held at the Las Vegas City Jail with a $3,381 awaiting bail after being arrested on four offenses, including DUI, failure or refusal to surrender evidence of security, unregistered vehicle, and failing to drive in the travel lane, the outlet added.
Lynch, 36, played in the NFL for 12 seasons. He was first selected by the Buffalo Bills in the 2007 NFL Draft. In 2010, he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks, where he played for the next six seasons and won the Super Bowl XLVIII in the 2013–2014 season.
Lynch returned to the NFL in 2017, joining the then-Oakland Raiders, after first retiring at the conclusion of the 2015 season. He played there for two years before joining the Seahawks again in 2019.
At the end of the 2019 season, Lynch hasn’t competed since then.
