Singer Ricky Martin ACCUSED Of INCEST, May Face Decades In Prison…

Pop icon Ricky Martin faces allegations of domestic violence and incest, stemming from a romantic relationship he allegedly had with his nephew, multiple reports said.

The 50-year-old singer has been accused of incest by his 21-year-old nephew, according to reports. He is accused of ”physical and psychological assaults” on his nephew during their seven-month relationship, which ended about two months ago.

An attorney for the singer strongly refuted the disturbing allegations Martin abused his nephew, calling them “not only untrue” but “disgusting.”

Martin’s nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, has obtained a restraining order against his uncle under a Puerto Rican statute known as Law 54, which relates to instances of domestic violence.

Under Puerto Rican law, the penalties for sexual crimes are more severe if the victim is a family member. The criminal complaint against Martin has been filed anonymously under a law that protects victims of domestic abuse, according to the report.

Martin and his nephew had dated for more than half a year and Martin did not take their breakup well, a separate report from a local newspaper claimed.

In a statement on Friday, Martin’s attorney, Marty Singer, dismissed the allegations against the singer, saying that the accuser “is struggling with deep mental health challenges.”

The attorney added:

“Ricky Martin has, of course, never been — and would never be — involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew. The idea is not only untrue, it is disgusting. We all hope that this man gets the help he so urgently needs. But, most of all, we look forward to this awful case being dismissed as soon as a judge gets to look at the facts.”

A representative for Martin told The Post earlier this month:

“The allegations against Ricky Martin that lead to a protection order are completely false and fabricated. We are very confident that when the true facts come out in this matter our client Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated.”

Martin has also responded to the charges himself, posting on Twitter on July 4:

“The protection order entered against me is based on completely false allegations, so I will respond through the judicial process with the facts and the dignity that characterize me.”

“Because it is an ongoing legal matter, I cannot make detailed statements at this time. I am grateful for the countless messages of solidarity, and I receive them with all my heart.”

A hearing has been scheduled for July 21.

Back in early 2018, Billboard reported that Ricky Martin had married Jwan Yosef, a Syrian-born painter who was living in London when he first began interacting with Martin on Instagram. They have four children together.
