Just As Britney Spears Walked Down The Aisle, A Ghost From Her Past Showed Up…

On Thursday afternoon, police tackled and detained Britney Spears’ onetime husband, Jason Alexander, for attempting to crash her wedding.

Variety and other trade media reported that Spears and her partner Sam Asghari were preparing to marry at her luxury home in Los Angeles when the ceremony was stopped. Jason Alexander, a childhood friend with whom the 40-year-old singer had a brief relationship in 2004, invaded the sun-drenched gathering, prompting a police response.

Alexander, who married Spears in 2004 in a quickie Las Vegas wedding that lasted only 55 hours before she had it annulled, apparently live-streamed his invasion on Instagram, with footage showing him telling a security guard he had been invited.

Where’s Britney?” he can be heard saying.

Later as he walks into a pink tent festooned with flowers, he identifies himself and says: “So here’s the inside scoop, guys, on the bullshit wedding.”

According to the entertainment website TMZ, a physical altercation erupted, and the cops were called. In a photo obtained by TMZ, Alexander is seen lying on the ground with security holding him down.

The live stream shows, Jason could be heard shouting “Don’t put your hands on me!” to Britney’s security officers.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said officers were summoned to investigate accusations of trespassing and discovered Alexander had an outstanding warrant from another jurisdiction, so he was detained.

The report was not immediately confirmed by AFP. Spears’ wedding to Asghari was not widely publicized, with word of the nuptials appearing just hours beforehand in specialist magazines.

After announcing their engagement late last year, Spears has started referring to her 28-year-old partner as her “husband.” Asghari and Spears met in 2016 when they co-starred in a music video for her track “Slumber Party.”
