They Tried To Do A Smash And Grab, Then Karma Smashed Them!

In a video from Los Angeles, a group of smash-and-grab thieves attempts to break into a jewelry store, only to be met by store employees who successfully fight them off.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the attempted robbery occurred around noon at the Princess Bride Diamonds jewelry store in the Bella Terra shopping center.

Surveillance video shows four hooded suspects entering the store, one of whom pulls out a hammer and smashes a display case glass, Employees of the store rush in to confront the would-be robbers, punching and kicking them until they flee out the door.

One woman even managed to hit one of the thieves over the head with a chair while another woman is seen kicking one of the downed thieves.

Sarah and Dallas Baca, who both work at the family-owned business, said they were in the back of the store when Dallas noticed a group of people wearing hoods entering the store.

“I didn’t think too much going into it, I just kind of reacted,” Dallas said. “I feel like you never think it’s gonna happen to you but you always know it’s a possibility, in the back of your mind.”

Dallas can be seen punching several suspects on surveillance video, while Sarah grabs a stool and strikes one of the would-be robbers, “looking for something big and heavy to hit them with.”

They said they have no regrets defending and repelling a group of hammer-wielding thieves.

“This is our family business that we wanted to protect, We are very keen to protect what is ours,” Sarah Vaca, co-owner of Princess Bride Jewelery Store said.
