What Two Military Moms Did To Combat The Formula Shortage IS Amazing…

During the Utah baby formula shortage, two military mothers are lending support to families and communities. They are donating milk to low-income families to assist them in feeding their children during these difficult times.

Baby formula is a source of nutrition for millions of babies but it is disappearing from shelves amid a nationwide shortage that is said to last for months.

The ongoing baby formula shortage may not end anytime soon as retailers and manufacturers are now expecting a months-long delay until a full supply of formula hits shelves again.

The shortage has caused panic among the millions of parents and caregivers in the U.S. who rely on formula to feed their children.

Danielle Dooley, a pediatrician at the Child Health Advocacy Institute at Children’s National Hospital, told the Washington Post“It’s really critical for their growth and development that they are able to access the nutrition that they need.”

In February, Abbott Nutrition — one of the largest suppliers of baby formula in the United States — recalled several major brands of its formula after federal officials investigated four babies who suffered bacterial infections from baby formula made at Abbott’s factory in Sturgis, Michigan.

Supply chain issues from the COVID-19 pandemic and a recent recall led to an immense shortage of baby formula across the U.S., the Wall Street Journal reports.

The two military mothers had children aged 6 and 10 months, the military women from Alabama and North Carolina understand the suffering that other mothers are experiencing.

They took a break from training to bring 800 ounces of milk to the Mountain West Mother’s Milk Bank in South Salt Lake, Utah, in an incredible gesture of generosity. God be praised!

The MWMMB is an advocate for breast milk and is doing its best for little children’s health and nutrition as they screen, process, and give the donated milk to babies who are needing it.

It has set up donation sites in Utah and southern Idaho where people who want to donate their milk can deposit it there. It is then sent to Salt Lake City to be processed and distributed.

A mother can be really protective of her baby and want to provide for it the best way she can, but here we see these two selfless mothers pouring out themselves for the good of those children whom they do not know.

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
