Between 2009 and 2015, Hunter Biden’s closest business partner paid at least 19 visits to the White House and other government venues, including a meeting with then-Vice President Joe Biden in the West Wing.

According to the New York Post:

Biden met with Eric Schwerin, owner of the Rosemont Seneca business, while serving as vice president under former President Barack Obama. Schwerin is linked to a number of Hunter Biden’s past and present foreign business dealings. Hunter’s finances have come under scrutiny as evidence mounts that his father was used as a bargaining chip in negotiations.

Hunter Biden and Eric Scherwin had recently co-founded Rosemont Seneca Partners with Devon Archer, another co-founder, at the time. The company is no longer in business.

Emails recovered from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop show a series of exchanges between Hunter and his partners in Rosemont Seneca’s joint venture with Chinese investment firms Bohai Capital and BHR.

Schwerin reportedly met with Evan Ryan, a Biden assistant for intergovernmental issues, in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C., before meeting with Joe Biden himself.

Schwerin emailed Jonathan Li, the CEO of BHR, in February 2017. Hunter had already received Li’s son’s resume, along with a list of institutions to which he planned to apply.

“Jonathan, Hunter asked me to send you a copy of the recommendation letter that he asked his father to write on behalf of Christopher for Brown University,” Schwerin wrote.

It is unknown whether Li’s son got accepted to Brown University or if he attended.

The emails were sent using a laptop that was allegedly Hunter Biden. “We don’t comment on the laptop,” White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates said when questioned about the content of the emails.

President Biden and his staff have repeatedly stated that he has no involvement or knowledge of Hunter’s business operations. Jen Psaki, the White House Press Secretary, made a similar allegation earlier this month when questioned by Peter Doocy of Fox News.
