What Dianne Feinstein Just Said Should Scare You All…

There is something horrible sickness in common with Dems, and they are now concerned over one colleague who may have caught it.

In recent months, California Senator Dianne Feinstein’s colleagues have become concerned that she is suffering major cognitive decline and is no longer really fit to serve.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle report:

Four U.S. senators, including three Democrats, as well as three former Feinstein staffers and the California Democratic member of Congress told The Chronicle in recent interviews that her memory is rapidly deteriorating. They said it appears she can no longer fulfill her job duties without her staff doing much of the work required to represent the nearly 40 million people of California.

Colleagues worry Dianne Feinstein is now mentally unfit to serve, citing recent interactions.

However; reports are also circulating that Feinstein said she won’t step down from her position before it ends in 2024, despite her democratic colleague’s concern about her mental health.

“I meet regularly with leaders,” the California Democrat, who is 88, told editorial board leaders of the newspaper. “I’m not isolated. I see people. My attendance is good. I put in the hours. We represent a huge state. And so I’m rather puzzled by all of this.”

Yahoo News also reported:

Feinstein, who has served in the Senate since 1992, has faced numerous questions about whether her memory is declining in recent years. Earlier this year, her husband Richard C Blum died. Ms Feinstein declined to be interviewed for the initial story but she spoke with editorial board leaders on Thursday.

“No, that conversation has not happened,” she said. “The real conversation is whether I’m an effective representative for 40 million people.”

Ms Feinstein last ran for election in 2018 and would be up for reelection in 2024. If she were to step aside, Governor Gavin Newsom, who would appoint a replacement, declined to comment.

In an interview with The Chronicle, four senators that three were Democrats said “It’s bad, and it’s getting worse.”

“There’s a joke on the Hill, we’ve got a great junior senator in Alex Padilla and an experienced staff in Feinstein’s office,” the staffer said.

“It’s really hard to have a micromanager who is not fully remembering everything that we’ve talked about,” said one ex-staffer, who described a situation in which Feinstein allegedly delayed the progress of an important investigation because, the aide believed, she could not fully comprehend it.
