Is Donald Trump About To Make A Run For The House?

Another rumor is now spreading on the conservatives side, claiming President Donald Trump could back jump back into the political sooner than most people expected.

This is after Conservative radio host Wayne Allyn Root speculated that Trump could run in the 2022 midterm elections and become the Speaker once Republicans retake the control; this suggestion was made during Root’s program segment.

Root said, “Why not, instead of waiting for 2024, and I’m hoping you’ll run in 2024, but why not run in 2022 for the United States Congress? A House seat in Florida. Win big. Lead us to a dramatic landslide victory. Take the House by 50 seats.”

He added, “Then you become the speaker of the House, lead the impeachment of Biden, and start criminal investigations against Biden,” and continued. “You’ll wipe him out for these last two years.”

Though the idea gains a lot of traction, theirs is no indication yet if Trump would be interested.

During a Trump rally in Georgia last month, Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz had pushed the idea and said in front of Trump supporters about his will to “fire Nancy Pelosi” and make Trump the new House Speaker.

Gaetz said “There is no greater country than America! There is no greater president than Donald J. Trump! And if you don’t mind me saying so, there is not a better member of Congress than Marjorie Taylor Greene.

He added as the crowd yelled its resounding approval “Give us the ability to fire Nancy Pelosi, take back the majority, impeach Joe Biden, and I’m going to nominate Donald Trump for Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.”

Aside from Gaetz, Former Democratic Georgia state lawmaker Vernon Jones also supported the idea and shared his plan if he is elected to a U.S. House seat as a Republican.

In a Twitter post he revealed, “On Day One in Congress, I’ll file Articles of Impeachment against both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for the betrayal of public trust,” he wrote, adding this shocker: “Then I’ll cast my vote for President Trump to be Speaker and invite my colleagues to join me.”

“It’s time to throw out the old playbook,” confirming his ally with the former president.

The former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows also said in November last year that  “people would go crazy” if the 45th president took the Speaker’s gavel.

In an interview with Steve Bannon’s podcast The War Room, he suggested that after the Republican take control of the House this November 2022, they should install Trump as Speaker.

He said, “I would love to see the gavel go from Nancy Pelosi to Donald Trump, talk about melting down, people would go crazy.”

Several months before the said podcast, Bannon also said that Trump will come roaring back to solidify his place as the leader of the Republican Party, while he was speaking to a group of Boston Republicans.

Bannon said, “Going forward, we can transform the Republican Party into more of a MAGA movement … just immerse the (Make America Great Again) movement with the Republican Party, and we’re going to have massive victories in the future.”

He also mentioned this idea during a talk to the West Roxbury Ward 20 Republican Committee, he noted that once Trump becomes the House Speaker, they will then make a move to impeach Joe Biden.

“Trump is a disruptor, but he has a long-term vision because I absolutely believe in the marrow of my bones that he will be our nominee in 2024,” he noted. “He’ll come back to us. We’ll have a sweeping victory in 2022, and he’ll lead us in 2024.”

“We totally get rid of Nancy Pelosi, and the first act of President Trump as speaker will be to impeach Joe Biden for his illegitimate activities of stealing the presidency,” he added.
