A disturbing video that shows Ukrainian soldiers torturing Russian POWs has spread online over the weekend.

The said video that lasts up to five minutes emerged online on Monday. Soldiers can be seen methodically shooting the knees of Russian prisoners and then leaving them to bleed to death which appears to be authentic.

Many of them are dying from shock due to the pain right on camera. And all of this is being filmed by Ukrainian soldiers themselves.

This isn’t the first time that a video like this was posted, in fact, Ukrainian sources have been posting the same videos on Telegram that increasingly worrying footage of Russian POWs and civilians accused of collaboration and being humiliated and mistreated.

This might be unfortunately expected in times of war but the men in the video from the Kharkov area filmed themselves using an especially barbaric execution of the Russian POWs that are inhumane.

The video evidently captured artillerymen being shot or having already been shot in the knees. And despite seeing how these men were dying from the loss of blood no one has given them medical care.

Ukrainian senior aide to President Volodymyr Zelensky has released a statement and reminded Ukrainians to adhere to the Geneva Conventions, he also added that an investigation will be conducted about the truth behind the footage.

The said statement was then contradicted by the Ukrainian military which insisted that the video was staged by the Russians. Though they revealed that a purported Russian document instructing that such videos be made then conveniently emerged on social media; it’s an obvious forgery but still suits to some people would like to believe.

What he has seen is evidence of authentic war crime. And as we expected the mainstream media has not covered the video yet, but after it spread online it will eventually be hard to ignore the issue.

The world sympathy strongly in favor of Ukraine, but what will happen if the country fails to adequately punish soldiers who torture or execute POWs, I guess Ukrainian should expect to have this world support to vanish at any time.
