TRAGIC: Four West Point Cadets Found DEAD After Totally Preventable Incident!

Short-term home rentals are getting common now as the spring breaks started. This dismayed a lot of homeowners who have short-term rentals in their neighborhoods as large group’s young partiers will move into residential neighborhoods where they party 24/7.

Most of the renters of these rental homes were young students who found a short-term vacation rental home listed on VRBO for $360 per night.

The home rentals feature three bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as a large backyard with a private pool, according to the listing, and are a 15-minute walk to the beach.

It was around 5 pm when the first responder received a call about multiple overdoses at the home in the 800 block of Northwest 29th Court, Fort Lauderdale Fire Battalion Chief Stephen Gollan said.

Six students on spring break were hospitalized after a drug overdose at a Wilton Manors short-term rental home Thursday, NBC reported last night.

According to reports, the home was started to vacate by the renter Friday evening. It remains unclear if the suspect was staying at the rental property with the spring breakers.

“This is extremely alarming to us,” Gollan said.

The students overdosed on what they thought was cocaine, but it was laced with fentanyl, officials said.

“It’s extremely, extremely potent and can stop your heart, your respiration,” Gollan added.

“When they went down in cardiac arrest, two of their friends began doing CPR, and they were exposed from the drug contact from the fentanyl,” Gollan said.

The report added that five of the students are now in stable condition and the other one is in critical condition in the ICU.

According to The Daily Mail report:

‘The U.S. Military Academy is aware of the situation involving West Point cadets, which occurred Thursday night in Wilton Manors, FL,’ a West Point spokesperson said in an email. ‘The incident is currently under investigation and no other details are available at this time.’

News helicopter video shows paramedics converging on the front yard of a short-term vacation rental home on NW 29th Court in Wilton Manors, where multiple people were found in cardiac arrest at 5pm.

Footage from the scene shows first responders administering first aid and placing several individuals onto stretchers.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Department Battalion Chief Steve Gollan told Local10 that two of the people who overdosed were sickened because they tried to perform CPR on the initial four overdose victims. He said the opioid-overdose-reversing drug naloxone, which is sold under the brand name Narcan, was administered to revive the victims.

As short-term rentals became all too common a lot of shocking stories were reported in some states around the country.

A shooting incident also happened in Phoenix, Arizona during a party at a short-term rental. It was reported that houses near the short-term-rental were riddled with bullets. Four bullet holes were found surrounding a bedroom window next door where small children were sleeping.
