Joe Biden Has Just Lost Someone That Will Give Republicans The Laugh Laugh!
It seems like Joe Biden has lost another supporter after liberal comedian Trevor Noah, host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” slammed him after the rumor that Saudi Arabia refused to take his phone call.
According to recent reports, Joe Biden failed to hold talks with leaders of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to seek support for Ukraine and help contain surging oil prices. The leaders apparently declined to speak with Biden—a claim denied by the White House officials.
During Noah’s opening monologue during the week, he expressed his frustration about a Wall Street Journal report that said Biden’s calls to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) – seeking support for Ukraine and help with surging U.S. gas prices – were rejected.
Noah claimed that during President Donald Trump’s time the White House never experience any rejected phone calls that the Biden administration has experienced.
Yahoo News reported what Noah told the viewers on Wednesday night:
“You have got to be kidding me. Apparently, Saudi Arabia won’t even pick up the phone for the president of the United States.
“I mean, look, I know it’s hard to arrange those calls. You know, Riyadh is eight hours ahead, Biden is asleep by 4 p.m., it’s a narrow window to make it work, but still: That must have been really embarrassing for Biden. Can you imagine? He phones them and they don’t pick up?”
Noah continued later: “Now, according to the White House, this story is totally untrue. They deny it, which I would too. But either way, man, there is no denying that Saudi Arabia isn’t playing ball with Joe Biden. And you know what? You can say what you want, but this would have never happened to Donald Trump. Never.
“No one was ever ignoring Donald Trump’s calls. ‘Cause if you ignored Donald Trump’s calls, you didn’t know how he would respond. Maybe he’d send an angry tweet, or maybe he’d just, like, ban your country from everything. You don’t know.
“That’s why I bet, in these situations, Biden actually wishes that he could hire Trump to step in as ‘President Wild Card.’ You know, just keep everyone on their toes. ‘Cause if Trump was calling, you best believe the UAE, they’d be racing to pick up the phone.”
Noah then launched into an imaginary phone call between Trump and a UAE leader.
“Mr. Trump! Mr. Trump! We’re here. Hello?”
“Too late, Achmed! You made me wait two rings. We’re bombing the UAE – and the UFC, just in case.”

And as we all expect, during a White House press briefing Press Secretary Jen Psaki denied the report of Saudi Arabia denying the president’s phone call:
“The Journal is reporting that Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman declined a request to speak with President Biden recently. Early in his term, the White House said the President would conduct diplomacy with the Saudis through the King rather than through MBS. Why has that policy changed?” a reporter said.
“That report is inaccurate. So let me start there. The President did speak with the Saudi King just a few weeks ago — several weeks ago. It’s all running together at this point in time. There were no rebuffed calls — period,” the press secretary said.
“But when he spoke with King Salman on February 9th, they talked about — and the readout made this clear — a range of issues and global issues that we can continue to work together on, including deterring Iranian-enabled attacks against civilian targets in Saudi Arabia, supporting the U.N.-backed efforts to end the war in Yemen, ensuring the stability of global energy supplies.
“And the President’s focus is really on our relationship moving forward: where we can work together, how we can work together on economic and national security here at home. And he looks forward to that continuing,” she said.
“But does it remain the policy that he will only be conducting diplomacy through the King?” the reporter said.
“Well, he is his appropriate counterpart,” she said. “But, again, there are different leaders who attend different global events from a range of countries including Saudi Arabia. So if the Crown Prince had been at, you know, any of the global events that the President recently attended, I’m sure he would have engaged with him, but he was not.”
