A woman named Melissa Blair has been the reason why a small community in Englewood, Tennesse, has been rocked by disturbing news of Blair’s indictment related to sexual encounters with McMinn Central High School students.

Melissa Blair has been charged with 18 counts of statutory rape, four counts of human trafficking by patronizing prostitution, solicitation of a minor, and forfeiture of personal property according to the WTVC-TV report.

The 38-year-old was not an employee at the school but she was a parent involved in running the booster clubs and she communicates with teens on social media trading items for sexual encounters.

This woman is insane! It was also confirmed that she had a child in the school system who was transferred.

After the school district received an anonymous letter, Police authorities on December 15 have started to investigate Melissa to her residence and spoke to her, which was quickly followed by the execution of a search warrant.

Sheriff Joe Guy said in a statement, “The search warrant revealed additional evidence, and our investigation grew larger as more parents and victims contacted us and we were finally able to present the case to the Grand Jury on February 15, upon which the indictments were issued.’

The Director of McMinn County Schools Lee Parkinson have also banned Melissa from school property or any school activities.

One of the mothers of the victims has told WTVC, “We are devastated at this point and ‘I cannot in words describe what it feels like to be going through what we’re going through right now. It is every emotion that you can imagine. And none of them happy.”

One of her concluding remarks:
“This isn’t just about putting a perpetrator behind bars. This is about families healing.”

The mother wished to remain anonymous for the protection of her child.

“People focus mostly on the perpetrator, they don’t realize how it devastates a family. How the families are at home, and we don’t know what to do next. I have no idea how to go forward with this.’ She added.

Englewood resident Christie Teague has also told WTVC, “Parents need to talk to their kids to speak up because it’s not right. It’s just really, really not right and I would be livid if it happened to my kids.”
