She DEFECTED TO CHINA, What Happened To Her Is Pure Karma!
The American-born Chinese figure skater who gave up her US citizenship and changed her name to compete for the Communist country at the Winter Olympic in Beijing fell twice during the women’s short program team event – to the scorn of many her adopted country.
19-year-old Beverly Zu, who changed her name to Zhu Yi, finished with the lowest score of the event at Beijing’s Capital Indoor Stadium after she failed to land a jump and fell on the opening combination, and botched another jump later in her short program.
She thought her loyalty to communist China was a great idea and would propel her to “Start Status” in China. But that’s not even remotely close to what happened.
Zhu Yi gave up her US citizenship for nothing because she didn’t just bomb in the Olympics, she finished dead last, and the Chinese people are downright furious about it.
Breitbart reported:
Chinese Olympics fans erupted on social media, furious that California-born skater Zhu Yi defected to China for the games but finished in a disastrous dead last place during her debut for Team China.
Yi, who gave up her U.S. citizenship to become a Chinese citizen so she could compete for the communist government’s genocide Olympics, finished with the lowest score for the entire event in Beijing on Saturday, the Daily Mail reported.
The 19-year-old scored a lowly 47.04 after she fell to the ice on her first combination triple flip-triple toe-loop jump and then crashed into the wall. Yi also muffed her triple loop minutes later.
The American-born skater has been trying to make a dent in China’s skating scene since 2018 when she changed her name to a more Chinese-sounding name, dumped her U.S. citizenship, and announced her desire to become a Chinese Olympian.
“I’m upset and a little embarrassed,” Zhu told the media after her poor performance. “I counted over and over again last night to see how many points I need to collect today to help my team advance.”
“I guess I felt a lot of pressure because I know everybody in China was pretty surprised with the selection for ladies’ singles, and I just really wanted to show them what I was able to do, but unfortunately, I didn’t,” she said.

She’s also getting ripped for not speaking Mandarin. The phrase “Zhu Yi has fallen” was trending on “Weibo,” which is China’s version of Twitter.
People immediately started slamming her for fake “patriotism,” and condemning her for speaking English in her social media video instead of Mandarin.
Everyone is piling on her right now.
One angry Weibo user called Yi was a “disgrace.” And others slammed her for skating for China in place of someone who was born there and called her worse than an “amateur.”
I don’t think Zhu will be invited to join a ticker-tape parade anytime soon. Let’s hope for her sake she doesn’t end up in a prison for what she did. These communist countries take the Olympics very seriously. I have a feeling she might be regretting her decision right about now and longing for the Cali coast.
