New York City Is Now Openly Letting Illegal Aliens Vote!

Yeah, this is pretty self-explanatory folks. Illegal aliens now have the right to vote in New York City. They have their rights, but it looks like they want your rights too.

It looks like New York City lawmakers have now passed a law last Thursday where noncitizens and illegal aliens will have the right to vote in their municipal elections under certain circumstances.

This new measure would give the green light (pun intended) to over 800,000 green card holders and illegal alien “DREAMers” to be able to cast a ballot in New York City elections.

The City Council bypassed state lawmakers and passed this measure even though it is highly likely that it just might prompt a legal challenge.

The GOP opponents of this measure are saying that the city council does have the authority to give voting rights to illegal aliens.

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio has already stated that he is not going to veto this measure. The Washington Times reported the following:

The best way to sum it up is that noncitizens in New York City have now gained the right to vote in all of the municipal elections under a measure that was approved Thursday by the New York City Council. This gives 800,000 green card holders and “DREAMers”, as they are called.

Literally the only thing that would stand in the way of this bill becoming law in the boroughs of New York City would be a veto from Mayor Bill de Blasio, and he has already stated that he is not going to veto the measure. However, it still remains to be seen whether there would be other legals challenges to this measure.

Those who are normally in support of illegal immigration are calling this a historic moment.

Councilman Francisco Moya’s family hailed from Ecuador, and he choked up as he spoke regarding his support of the bill.

“This is for my beautiful mother who will be able to vote for her son,” Moya said while he was joining the session with his immigrant by his side.

This measure would allow noncitizens who have been lawful permanent residents of the city for at least a month to be able to vote. The measure would also include those who are authorized to work in the United States including the “DREAMers” to be able to select the mayor, city council members, borough presidents, the public advocate, and the public advocate.
