What The President Of The UFC Said About Vaccine Mandates Is A Bullseye!
Turns out that the President of the UFC has a lot to say about vaccine mandates, and no, he is definitely not one of those mealy-mouths!
We’ll just cut to the chase here:
Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White is now saying that he is not going to mandate COVID vaccines for the fighters in his organization. During his interview with Brian Kilmeade of Fox News, White railed against these mandates, asserting that people should be able to do what they want because it’s supposed to be a “free country.”
Kilmeade also asked White about the vaccine mandate for companies that have at least 100 employees, and that is when the fireworks from the UFC president totally began.
“My fighters can get vaccinated or not,” White proclaimed. “We’re not forcing people to get vaccinated. I believe as an American, that’s your choice. If you want to get vaccinated — your body. This is a free country. You do what you want.”
“People just want some type of normalcy again,” UFC President Dana White said in a reaction to the vaccine mandates when he was on Brian Kilmeade’s show. He also noted the success of the UFC throughout the pandemic and the recent elections.
White may be a lot of things, but once he takes a position he sticks with it. Believe it or not, he asserted the same thing last August before the mandates started occurring.
“I would never tell another human being what to do with their body,” White said. “If you want to get vaccinated, that’s up to you. That’s your choice. You’re never going to hear me say I’m going to force people to get vaccinated. Never gonna happen.”
When he was asked about UFC 268, which is scheduled to take place at Madison Square Garden which requires proof of vaccine to get in, White noted that there were plenty of UFC fights that people could attend in other states if they still do not want to get that jab.
“If you’re vaccinated and you want to come to the event, you can come to the event in New York,” White said. “If you’re not, we’re gonna be putting on 44 events around the country, you can go to one of those shows.”
