She Was Caught Breaking Mask Rules, Her Reason Why Is TOTAL HYPOCRISY!

San Francisco Mayor London Breed has now been plunged headlong into a buzzsaw of criticism regarding her mask mandate. However, there is no need to feel sorry for her; this is actually a controversy of her own making. The San Francisco mayor was caught on video partying maskless in a nightclub, and that made her actions a clear violation of her own COVID mask mandate.

However, the San Francisco mayor remains defiant even though she was caught without her mask. She even attempted to justify her actions and decried the “fun police” who would have the gall to try to keep her accountable.

What happened?

Even though Mayor Breed was caught on camera partying maskless and indoors with Black Lives Matter activists last week at the Black Cat Night Club last week, she still remains unrepentant.

Naturally, even though Breed’s own rules say masks are required indoors for all patrons whether they are vaccinated or not and except when they are eating or drinking, she still had a ready excuse even though plenty of photos were showing her maskless while she was singing and dancing.

Breed attempted to tell the San Francisco Chronicle shortly after this scandal broke that she gets tested regularly and that every person at that event had to show proof of being vaccinated; however, these designations are irrelevant considering that her mask rules are supposed to apply to everyone regardless of their vaccination status.

What is she saying now?

In her interview with KPIX-TV, the mayor tried as hard as she could to do damage control and justify her mask violations, as well as going after those “fun police” who she thought was being a wet blanket to her.

“I think it’s sad that this is even a story,” the mayor began.

The mayor proceeded to say that many of the individuals calling her out for ignoring her own mandate were ignoring the monumental nature of the gathering she had been attending; what she meant by this was that the original members of the Oakland R&B group Tony! Toni! Tone’! were performing for a live performance for the first time in 20 years.

“The fact that that is getting lost here is very unfortunate,” Breed said, and proceeded to discuss other musicians that were present at the event.

“I was there. I was eating, and I was drinking,” she said in an attempt to explain her behavior. “And I was sitting with my friends.”

She repeatedly emphasized to reporters that “everyone there was vaccinated” — which literally means nothing when you consider her own mandate.

“The fact that we have turned this into a story about being maskless—,” she continued, “no, I am not going to sip and put my mask on, sip and put my mask on, sip and put my mask on, eat and put my mask on. While I’m eating and I’m drinking, I’m going to keep my mask off.”

“And yes,” Breed went on, “in the time while we were drinking — like everyone else there — we were all having a good time. And again, all vaccinated.”

“This is now a distraction,” she lamented.

“We don’t need the fun police to come in and try and micromanage and tell us what we should or shouldn’t be doing,” Breed said.

When they pressed her on the video that shows her dancing and singing without her mask, the mayor claimed, “My drink was sitting at the table. I got up and started dancing because I was feeling the spirit, and I wasn’t thinking about a mask. I was thinking about having a good time.”
