Evidently the left and the rest of the anti-police crowd continue to do whatever they have to do to not only control the narrative, but also who is elected. However, there is one patriot candidate who is not going to defund the police, and one of the main reasons for that is because he has a law enforcement background himself. Detroit Police Chief Craig James is a law and order candidate, and he is not going to kowtow to the anti-police rhetoric. Unfortunately, that is also one of the main reasons why the thugs came out in force and tried to silence him during the announcement of his run for the governor of Michigan. Protesters constantly chanted, “No justice, no peace. James Craig is still police.”

There is no question that James Craig would be a vast improvement from Gretchen Witch-mer as Governor of Michigan, and this is due in part to the fact that he is a common-sense politician who believes that one should follow the law. That alone would make him a fantastic governor for the state of Michigan.

There is also no question that the left in Michigan is completely unhinged about the candidacy of Craig, and this primarily due to the fact that he called the Black Lives Matter Movement a domestic terror group! I guess the truth hurts, doesn’t it?

There was even one protester who claimed that Craig hadn’t brought the crime rate down in Detroit even though the Wall Street Journal had praised Craig last July as “The Man Who Kept The Peace in Detroit.”

This comes on the heels of ex-Detroit police chief James Craig formally announcing that he was going to run for Michigan Governor as the GOP challenger to Governor Gretchen Whitmer. However, this patriot was drowned out by the dozens of “Detroit Will Breathe” protesters who were surrounding his podium.

These thugs surrounded James Craig and did everything they could to harass him.

Part of the reason why the Chief of Police plans to run against the tyrannical Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is simply due to the fact that she has been a disaster leading this state because she is following the far-left agenda of keeping Michigan completely locked down as long as possible. That is one of the main reasons why there has been such misery and destruction of small businesses. This woman is poison to the economy!

However, if Chief Craig is elected, he would bring back common sense to the governor’s seat in Lansing. A lot of people believe that the fact that Whitmer politicized the COVID-19 and ignoring almost all common sense will spell the downfall of Gretchen Whitmer and the beginning of this patriot called Chief Craig.

The Detroit News is now reporting that Chief Craig is expected to announce that he has retired from the department, and he is going to announce his run for Michigan governor during that same press conference.

Chief Craig is also acknowledging that he has even discussed his candidacy with several GOP officials: “I’m a lifelong public servant. I want to continue to serve.”

Republicans in Michigan have continued to look for good “crossover” candidates that will appeal to both sides of the aisle. There is no question that Chief Craig fits the bill because he is a common-sense leader who commands the respect of the community.
