What The Taliban Just Did To A Pregnant Mother Is Absolutely Sickening!
As the days go by, the Taliban continues to show their true colors, and needless to say, they aren’t much different than the last time they were in power two decades ago. Taliban militants shot and killed a pregnant police officer right in front of her family in Afghanistan, as reported by the BBC.
The woman was identified as Banu Negar by a local news source, and she was reportedly murdered in front of both her husband and children on Saturday outside the family’s home in Firozkoh, the capital of central Ghor province. Apparently, Negar was working at the local prison, and she was eight months pregnant when they shot her dead.
There were three sources who told the BBC that three armed Taliban members entered Negar’s home and searched it before they tied members of the family up.
“Relatives supplied graphic images showing blood spattered on a wall in the corner of a room and a body, the face heavily disfigured,” according to the BBC.
Of course, the Taliban denied any involvement in the murder of Negar and they told the BBC that they are investigating the murder.
“We are aware of the incident and I am confirming that the Taliban have not killed her, our investigation is ongoing,” Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said.
Mujahid said that the reason that the murder happened was due to “personal enmity or something else” and they yet again pointed out that the Taliban had already announced that they were going to grant amnesty to anyone who worked for the previous government of Afghanistan.
Moreover, Mujahid also claimed that the new Taliban government was going to honor women’s rights within Islamic law, but they failed to provide specifics.
Unfortunately, there have been several reports that appear to dispute the claim of a more tolerant and inclusive Taliban regime.
Here is a list of some of the terrible things that this “new and improved” Taliban have done in Afghanistan:
Last month, there were reports of Taliban militants hunting down journalists and other dissidents simply by going door-to-door searching for them.
It was also in August that the Taliban allegedly murdered a woman because she would not wear a burqa on the same day that they claimed they were going to honor women’s rights.
It has also been rumored that Taliban enforcers have executed Afghan folk singer Fawad Andarabi because the radical Islamic organization had declared that “music is forbidden in Islam.”
The Taliban also executed an Afghan woman because she was too poor to feed soldiers, according to CNN.
According to Amnesty International, the Taliban viciously tortured and “massacred” several members of the Hazara ethnic minority in July.
Amnesty International said the Taliban viciously tortured and “massacred” several members of the Hazara ethnic minority in July.
It was also on Monday that the Taliban claimed that they had taken control of the Panjshir province located just north of Kabul. This was the last holdout of anti-Taliban forces in the country, and rebel forces continue to contend that they are still fighting.
The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan wrote on their Twitter account, “Taliban’s claim of occupying Panjshir is false. The NRF forces are present in all strategic positions across the valley to continue the fight.”
