Are you considering going to an NFL game? If so, you might be in luck. They are currently outrageously cheap.
The Saints are playing the first game in the NFL that is going to require fans to be vaccinated or provide a negative PCR COVID-19 test. Of course, this begs the question….what has that done to ticket prices for Monday night? Well, the best way to sum it up is that these ticket prices have been driven straight into the ground.
Darren Rovell reports that some of these tickets on the secondary market are now selling for less than $1 before fees.
Indeed, last Monday’s Saints game was the first game where an NFL game was actually requiring an individual to have proof of vaccination before they could attend the game. (In case you are wondering, the Saints won this game 23-21)
As far as the other games go, Stubhub actually has quite a few games where the tickets are as cheap as $6. No, it isn’t the lowest on the secondary market, but it is still absurdly cheap.
You had better let all of this sink in, because in all honesty, it is insane. At this very moment, you literally can take your entire family to an NFL game for less than $20. What is this, the 1970s? And yes, if you are an NFL aficionado like me, then you know that NFL preseason games are always cheap anyway, but no, they aren’t this cheap.
It all boils down to one sentence: this is happening because of Coronavirus restrictions, pure and simple.
No, I am going to debate whether you should take the vaccine or not, but apparently if you take the vaccine it does have at least one benefit……
