Megyn Kelly recently discussed New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and his brother Chris Cuomo during her Wednesday interview with Newsmax, and she was saying that the pair would have never achieved their positions without having the gravitas of their father and his name.
Their father, Mario Cuomo was well-known for serving three terms as the governor of New York, and he was “very popular,” according to Kelly.
Kelly was apparently talking about the soon-to-be-ex Governor of New York when she said that this individual was “born into such a family of privilege, he and his loser brother on CNN,” and she held firm to the fact that these two wouldn’t have made it as far as they did if it weren’t for “their daddy and his name.”
Kelly pointed out to her viewers that Chris Cuomo has “lost all credibility” and she now believes that “at a minimum, this guy needs to be turfed for a long time, if not let out of his post.”
Andrew Cuomo announced last Tuesday that he was going to step down as governor. The governor’s resignation is going to take effect later this month.
Governor Cuomo had already faced a barrage of calls to resign even from members of her own party in regards to a report that concluded that he had sexually harassed a number of different women.
“The independent investigation has concluded that Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women and in doing so violated federal and state law,” state Attorney General Letitia James said last week at a new conference. “Specifically, the investigation found that Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed current and former New York State employees by engaging in unwelcome and nonconsensual touching and making numerous offensive comments of a suggestive and sexual nature that created a hostile work environment for women.”
Due to Andrew Cuomo’s resignation, Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul is slated to become the state’s first female governor.
