From the dark bowels of a D.C. jail, we are finally seeing the truth of what really happened in regards to a January 6th death.
Last month, our sister publication Gateway Pundit revealed that there was a conservative activist named Philip Anderson who was privy to the Capitol Police killing protester Roseanne Boyland.
There was a second witness who emerged about 5 days ago, and they too wish to remain anonymous.
Now, there are three other witnesses that have come forward that are confirming that yes, Capitol Police were indeed responsible for the death of the January 6th protester Roseanne Boyland.
The problem with some of these witnesses? Well, apparently two of them are behind bars in a D.C. jail and they have been held without bail for two months now to boot! The voices of these eyewitnesses have literally been taken away from them, and it doesn’t appear that they are going to get their day in court any time soon either.
Cara Castronuova has been employed with Citizens Against Political Persecution, and she has positively identified at least two other eyewitnesses that are willing to speak out against the Capitol Police even though they are currently deep in the bowels of a DC Jail and another one is on house arrest. Castronuova spoke with witness Jonathan Mellis, who is one of the prisoners who has been held indefinitely in a D.C. jail without any bail since February 17th. There has been no bond hearing in sight for him.
This is his statement:
“I was there when Rosanne Boyland was being trampled by the police. I was at the bottom of the steps in front of the hallway. Many people were screaming that a woman was being trampled by the police. I responded as fast as I could. I saw her lifeless body being crushed under the officers and hit with their batons. They were kicking her viciously. I acted to get them off her. I was maced. I still hear the cries for help. My memories of this hectic situation started effecting me much more after I found out that Rosanne did not make it. We didn’t save her. I’ve seen bodycam footage since then of a Trump supporter giving her chest compressions in the hallway as the police continue to attack the people who are there to save her (this happened about a minute after my involvement). As God as my witness this is the truth. The cops are even still striking her lifeless body with their batons and boots. These are the body cam footage they are not releasing. I can send you bodycam footage of my involvement if you would like.”
This statement has now been substantiated with a recently-released video that shows Boyland being struck by police officers with their batons as she is being crushed by a crowd of people that the police had pushed on top of her. She can hear the cries of her fellow citizens as they plead with the police to stop and they are also pleading for help. Moreover, this has been bolstered by newly-released video which none of the mainstream news outlets have bothered to release.
Castronuova also spoke with an individual named Edward Jacob Lang, who is currently one of the prisoners being held exclusively in solitary confinement since January 16th. Lang himself also witnessed Roseann Boyland’s death, and he was in the area near the entrance where she ultimately passed away. As a matter of fact, Lang was holding Boyland’s hand as she passed away.
“I was begging the Capitol police to stop pummeling people over on top of them, brutally beating protesters … I couldn’t let anymore people die in front of my face…I was trying to pull Roseann with all my might as she turned from purple to blue to white. The police kept knocking people all over her, she was at the bottom of the pile. I was frantically flailing my arms begging the police to stop but the police kept pummeling. I couldn’t pull out Roseann but I am so thankful I was able to pull out Phillip.”
Unfortunately, Lang still remains in a D.C.-based correctional center without any bail, having been there since January 16th and spending the majority of his time in “the hole.”
Castronuova has also spoken to the mother of Michael Foy, an individual who was recently released from a D.C. jail and is now on house arrest. They charged him with hitting police with a hockey stick that he had turned into a makeshift flagpole. Foy’s mother, Laura Hartley, is now claiming that he was clearing the police off the body of Roseann Boyland. According to both Foy and Hartley, the police were not allowing anyone near Boyland or even to administer CPR! That is why Michael Foy noted in his Defendant’s Emergency Bond Review Motion that he had simply used the hockey stick to keep the police off the body of Roseann Boyland for at least 15 seconds before he retreated from the scene. The review motion noted that an unconscious Roseann Boyland was later dragged from the steps.
Mr. Foy’s court documents note that he did not use any violence until he witnessed the police insistently advancing and trying to crush people at his feet, including Roseann Boyland. In response, Foy like it was his duty to attempt to clear the police in an effort to save Boyland’s life. Unfortunately for Ms. Boyland, it was too late.
According to Foy’s attorney, there is now strong evidence that he acted in defense of others and did not use non-deadly force. The lawyer also believes that Foy used the correct amount of force and that he was simply trying to defend individuals who were being crushed by the advancing police officers. Additionally, the attorney is going by the advice of the D.C. Pattern jury instructions, which clearly argue of the law of defense of a third person: “that every person has the right to use a reasonable amount of force in defense of another person if s/he actually believes that the other person is in imminent danger of bodily harm”.
Mr. Foy’s defense attorneys continue to claim that he was merely using the appropriate amount of force simply because he was helping the individuals that were being crushed by the advancing police officers. It is reasonable to make this assumption in the case of Roseann Boyland, and this is especially true when you consider that she ultimately died after the brutal alleged assault that was inflicted on her by Capitol police.
Indeed, there is plenty of audible footage from the body cams that captured the cries of people that are literally begging the police such things as “Stop! Stop! She’s gonna die! She’s gonna die!”, “Please stop pepper spray, we’re trying to (inaudible)!, and “There’s people under here! There’s people pressed under here! (pointing to protesters being pushed by police), as well as “I’m trying to get out, please, I’m trying to get out. I’m on the ground.” Regardless of their pleas and cries for help, the police continued to pummel the crowd and Boyland, allegedly as hard as they could.
Another thing that was seen in the video was a police officer with a neon jacket striking a lifeless-looking Boyland several times with a baton and an overhead swing, with Boyland laying on the ground with her shirt rolled up completely over her stomach, unconscious. Yet another police officer seems to panic and starts to do some damage control, pulling the other officer away from Boyland and trying to get him to stop bludgeoning her.
This is the incident that led to the three protesters’ stepping in and attempting to clear the police and others from the bodies that were laying on the ground. Indeed, the harshest crime they are being charged with would be assaulting officers, but their cases clearly show from the video evidence that they were just defending a third-party person in danger of police brutality from the Capitol Police. This too is also permissible under the D.C. Pattern Jury instructions.
Interestingly enough, the testimonies of Lang, Mellis, and Foy all paint the exact same picture, even though it isn’t clear that the three had been acquainted with each other before their arrests. Folks, these are three different gentlemen from three different parts of the country, and they were all in the same general place at the same time. They all witnessed the same thing.
These accounts have continued to accumulate, and still there are yet others who say that the Capitol Police were the entities responsible for the death of Roseann Boyland. The best way to sum it up is that the Capitol Police pushed Boyland to the ground and proceeded to shove other civilians in the crowd on top of her. There are plenty of logical people out there that would presume that the police caused Boyland’s death in this instance. Additionally, there are plenty of individuals who would support a real investigation being opened. When Boyland’s friend and the other citizens pleaded with the Capitol Police to stop the pepper spray, mace, and beating people so they could save Boyland, their hysterical pleas and cries fell on deaf ears. The police continued to beat Boyland as she laid on the ground, unconscious and bleeding. When her fellow civilians were finally able to drag the lifeless body away from the police and administer CPR, it was already too late.
Nancy Pelosi had a January 6th commission into these events, but she completely neglected to look into these monumental occurrences at all. Although she painted the Capitol Police as heroes, a different picture emerges when someone does a fair amount of investigation.
The mainstream media hastily reported that Boyland had allegedly died of an accidental amphetamine overdose after a report was done by the DC medical examiner. However, the mainstream news sources have done nothing to further investigation and treat this with the due diligence that it deserves. Thus, they should retract their statements and apologize for them.
The New York Times has also falsely reported that Boyland apparently was “killed in a crush of fellow rioters during their attempt to fight through a police line, according to videos reviewed by The Times.”
This is one of the main reasons why there should be an independent in-depth investigation that is totally separate from Congress opened in relation to the death of Roseann Boyland as well as the conduct of Capitol Police related to it. This investigation should uncover the identity of the officer who was seen hitting Ms. Boyland with the baton.
This is one of the main reasons why the People’s January 6th Commission was opened up. This independent group aims to investigate and report on the real truth of this incident to the American public, and they are seeking to do this in a manner that is completely free of any bias or partisan politics.
