The net approval rating for Vice President Kamala Harrris (D) has recently turned negative, and needless to say she is totally livid about it. This came about after an unimpressive attempt to improve the immigration crisis at the U.S.-Mexican border. The latest numbers at the Morning Consult-Politico poll released last Wednesday found that there are now slightly more Americans that see Harris unfavorably than those who approve of her job.
There is now an unfavorable rating of 45% of registered voters who said they had an unfavorable view of President Biden. At the same time, there are 52% of individuals who approve of the president, and that means that he has a positive net rating of 7 percentage points.
Needless to say, President Joe Biden fared much better than his vice-presidential counterpart in the poll.
That June poll discovered that the approval and disapproval rates were equal at 46% each.
Once Harris was placed under the spotlight, she totally wilted. Biden put her in charge of dealing with the increasing crisis at the Southern Border, but she faced fierce criticism from the right because she made excuses for not visiting the border. Moreover, she outright lied, claiming that her visit to the border had been scheduled for a long time.
She has also been hit by criticism from the left, after she made a speech discouraging migrants not to come to the United States. Other individuals have protested against the continuing deportations under the Biden Administration.
The newest poll also discovered that she was slightly more favored by the males than the females and she was dramatically more favored by the younger people over the older people. Harris also garnered some considerable support from African-Americans and those who lived in urban areas.
