Perhaps I’m showing my age here, but I can’t help but think of the old “Cops” theme song where they talk about what people are going to do when they “come for you.” Well, the Biden Administration has really turned that on its head with their plans to go door-to-door to try to make sure everyone has gotten the COVID vaccine. Of course, I’m sure one of those pencil pushers on the Biden team is thinking, “What could go wrong?”
There are plenty of comedians who have already given their version of what would go down if there was a visit from the Biden Administration. JP did, and it was spot on, concluding with a member of the Biden team saying, “I don’t understand; are you saying you don’t want the shot that you’ve CHOSEN not to get?”
Even though this plan has had its share of critics, the Biden Administration didn’t retreat from it at all. Oh no. Instead, they just doubled down on the push to do the door-to-door plan with the HHS Secretary announcing that he sees absolutely nothing wrong with government officials coming to YOUR DOOR to give you a shot. Suddenly I am having visions of Nazi Germany or Eastern Europe, but I digress. This is government overreach on steroids and of course, it has gotten loads of criticism. The Biden Administration just stirred the pot in supporting Biden’s plan.
Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra stuck to his guns, declaring on CNN’s New Day that “it is absolutely the government’s business” to know the vaccination status of their citizens.
“The federal government has spent trillions of dollars to try and keep Americans alive during this pandemic. So it is absolutely the government’s business; it is taxpayers’ business if we have to continue to spend money to try and keep people from contracting COVID.”
