OH COME ON! Now The Woke Is Going After Jeopardy!

For millions of individuals the world over, the television show “Jeopardy!” has become a staple of their viewing habits. However, this game show simply hasn’t been the same since the passing of Alex Trebek. Needless to say, the show has been getting a little bit rocky with guest hosts who are not quite as polished and practiced as Trebek was in order to make the game show as popular as it was.

Of course, it also doesn’t help that the left is as outraged as possible by every little insignificant word that they feel might be “offensive” to them. It’s getting to the point where it looks like the left has the “quarterback in a crowded stadium” syndrome, which is where if they think the quarterback looks in their direction, they get offended at the quarterback! To wit, there was a recent clue regarding the answer of a medical condition that is normally known as POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) a.k.a. “Grinch Syndrome.” Apparently, some were offended by the nickname of this condition!

Savannah Guthrie was the latest guest host who read this clue from the Plain-Named Maladies category, as follows:

“Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome is also known as Grinch Syndrome because this organ is too small.”

Now, the answer to that question was “what is the heart.” However, that’s besides the point, because the “woke” liberals went totally berserk.

In a nutshell, they were upset over the term “Grinch”, and along with that, there were several individuals who tweeted out how upset they were about the clue and how frustrated they were with the episode.

Indeed, there was even a non-profit organization that does research on POTS that felt the clue was “offensive” and “misogynistic.”

“Hey @Jeopardy,” someone wrote, “There is no one that has any credibility that will call POTS ‘Grinch’ Syndrome. This promotes outdated misogynistic terms to describe a debilitating nervous system disorder that has impacted millions of Americans, and that is not cool. We are requesting an apology on behalf of our community. Do better.”

“Can you imagine Jeopardy making light of someone who has cancer or MS with a “funny” name? Not acceptable,” another person wrote.

Do you think these people have a legitimate beef or are they overreacting?
