Church Pastor ARRESTED AGAIN For Preaching The Gospel!

A church pastor in Canada has yet again been arrested for holding services that are in violation of the Alberta province’s pandemic gathering rules, as reported by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation News. Folks, this is what will start happening in America if we let liberalism run amok the way that it does in other parts of the world.

The Details

Apparently, Tim Stephens of Fairview Baptist Church in southeast Calgary has been arrested because he had allegedly violated Section 127 of the Criminal Code by failing to obey the Court of Queen’s Bench Order that was obtained by the Alberta Health Services, according to the network. Brother Stephens’ young children hugged him and were crying as the police yet again took him away from his home.

An officer patted down the preacher while he placed his hands on the side of the police vehicle.

When he waved goodbye to his family from the barred windows of the vehicle, his kids poignantly reached out and touched his hand.

“Bye, Daddy!” one of the children cried out to him tearfully.

They arrested Stephen last month for similar violations, but CBC reported that the charges ultimately had to be withdrawn because they had improperly served the injunction. Additionally, Calgary police told the press that the second arrest was due to Stephens “hosting an illegal outdoor gathering that was not in compliance with the current restrictions.”

AHS physically closed the Fairview church to prevent access to the building until Stephens was able to “demonstrate the ability to be in full compliance to these restrictions,” CBC said.

Alberta is now under stage 2 of their reopening plan, which means that places of worship will have to limit attendance to just a third of their building’s fire code occupancy, according to the network.

“It has been several weeks now, and AHS has attempted to work collaboratively with the leadership at Fairview Baptist Church in an attempt to address the ongoing public health concerns at this site,” the police said in their statement to the network. “We only resort to enforcement action when there is significant risk or continued non-compliance.”

The network was quick to add that Stephens was previously ticketed and fined defying the public health regulations by holding meetings that were constantly over-capacity.

What Happened to Stephens This Time?

The CBC said that Stephens has been released from custody and he is set to appear in court next week, on June 28th.

“We are going to challenge and defend against this new ‘health’ criminal code violation,” Jay Cameron, a lawyer with the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, said to the network when he was bonded out.

What do you think about this Canadian pastor who is continually being arrested simply for holding church services?
